Why no elastic band "keepers" on the Mantis for excess leg straps? Simple mod or add - just wondering what the thought was. I hate the excess just dangling. Am I missing something?

I'm with you, but I find those elastic keepers don't work all that great in reality. At least not on my kestrel and other packs that have had them they don't. Usually there's not enough webbing for the elastic to keep them secure, and they just end up dangling anyway. I don't mind that they're not present.

I’ve had some keepers that worked extremely well. They were the Velcro style. If memory serves me right they were on the evo leg straps. Anyhow they were small, quiet and secure. I need to find some for my packs. I never like cutting the shorter because you never know.
