I took advantage of free shipping and ordered the 5 stepp bag today. 5 stepps gets me nearly to 35 feet if I push it and 25-30 feet with the knaider. I love how light and compact this system is.

Would you be able to explain how you are getting to 35 feet with 5 steps? That would mean you are getting 7 feet per step right?
I think you need to try it and report backHey, this might be a crazy idea. What if you set one WE step as hi as possible with a multi step aider hanging beneath it. The bottom of the multi step aider would be attached to another WE step that is installed upside down. If the aider had some adjustability it could be cinched tight. This should hold everything tight and give you an offset ladder up the tree.

SO I am curious - do you guys plan on removing these while you hunt? I still wonder how they will work on really leaning trees. Not going to try this this year but might for next. I sure wish gaffs were allowed don't think anything could be easier or as versatile.
I made elastic holder strips and I just leave them on while hunting.. first pair had solid webbing around knee and put legs to sleep.. not good at 20-30' .. lol.. just don't use elastic or plastic clips on the load bearing strapsSO I am curious - do you guys plan on removing these while you hunt? Found this thread on YouTube and made some!! Then after joining/being admitted to this group I couldn't find the thread again... duh I went back to your vid and read all your replies untill I found the link to here!!! Thanks you are a genius!! I added some cheap cinchers and silencer ideas to the thread today!! Glad to part of this forum, an amazing resource and amazing people!!I will try to get some close up videos made of both aiders in action. The short one is pretty obvious. The longer aider probably needs a visual to help understand what is going on with the shock chord and carabiner. The shock chord is not necessary, but boy does it make things run smooth.
It’s not just you. The steps have a fiddle factor to them that’s for sure.I've used the knaider and swaider and really found it super easy to use. My only issue is to get faster with Wild Edge Stepps. I really like them but find myself (maybe just me) spending too much time trying to get them set just right. I don't have an issue with the speed of getting the knot. It's more about how to get the cinch pressure to really hold it in without moving or kicking out. I will say aiders of any kind on a leaning tree very hard to do.
