Ok, so I decided to give the trad route a go last week.....my bow showed up Monday and my goody box showed up today.

Day one challenge with a twist, these are the first three arrows I’ve ever shot traditional....

Best I can do for pics right now, lol. It’s a 68” Bill Stewart. Has 32 and 45# limbs. I’ve pulled the rest off and put bear hair on the shelf and added beaver balls to the string. The 32# limbs are on it right now while I work out form.

That’s the next 6 arrows. Pulled the last one (far left) and have a video of me doing it.....made me laugh because I didn’t realize I said anything, but there’s a very audible “oooooooohhhh”

Day 2.....

I’m a surveyor so I didn’t have a penny in my pocket, but I had a mag nail,

This 10 ya distance I really like. This is the rest of the 6 shot group....

Now for a little insight....yesterday when I was shooting I went thru my sequence and during the squeeze the shot went off. I was still focused on my target and not looking at the tip. The shot was good. Hmmmm.....so maybe that’s the instinctive shooting I hear folks talk about. So the first three shots today I used that sequence and, well, the results are above.

I shot 24 arrows this evening (it’s still ungodly humid here) and I really think I’ve stumbled onto something here. One thing I did learn quickly was this isn’t wheel bow shooting, ANY hesitation at anchor and accuracy suffers.

Challenge 5.......this one doesn’t really count I guess because I thought it was 12 yards instead of 15 and they weren’t cold shots.....

1st group 20 yards with back pack.

1st arrow is one of the tight 4, I just didn’t want to stop shooting.
