Any advice on different grip for a Hoyt Satori? I’m very inconsistent with the stock grip...

I’m much more accurate and consistent without it. I’ve tried using vet wrap but it gets all “gummed up”...

Camo form works like vet wrap put not as rubbery. More cloth like. It’s a lot better.

How do you like that Satori (other than the grip)? I'm seriously considering picking one up. I plan to get a wood ILF riser next year but I think I'm gonna do that at ETAR (Denton Hill) so I can try a bunch out before spending $$$. In the meantime, I'd like to grab a Satori sometime soon... just curious what you think of it.

I like it but take my opinion for what it's worth cause I don't have any trad experience... lol I was torn on what to get, opted for the satori but part of me wishes I went with a wood bow, just for the traditional aspect of it all...

I take the handles off most of my bows. The best I’ve found is tennis racquet tape. You can find it thin or padded. It’s cheap and lasts.

Nothing wrong with having more than one bow.... just sayin'

I LOVE wood-riser bows but I also like metal risers. My solution.... get both. That's my plan anyway

I'm sure I'll probably do the same one day! Don't get me wrong, I'm having a blast with it, but just recently I was able to shoot a couple different bows a guy made himself and those were pretty damn sweet to shoot and looked awesome. I'd say they shot smoother than my satori...

I know what you mean. I plan to go to ETAR next year with a wad of cash and shoot everything I can until one "speaks" to me. I don't have a traditional archery shop anywhere near me to try out a bunch of different bows so I figure ETAR is the best place to get my hands a wide variety.

Good stuff.

Ive heard of guys buying 1911 grips and shaving them down on the sides to fit? Apparently they are about the right length. Have to drill a hole as they have 2 holes in the ends.
