Along with aiders, a couple thoughts on the Shikar length to use.

I played with trying to stack the shikars when the steps and standoffs are deployed. I could not find a good way to do that. But when folded up flat, the two fit together perfectly. And 17-1/8 stick are 27” when flat. My stone glacier xcurve frame is 26” high. That will enable me to strap the shikar’s to the frame and keep everything flat.

The double step 17-1/8 are 27. Going to 20 or 22 would add 3 to 5 inches in length. That fact, along with being conservative with step length drove me towards the shortest stick.

I do have beast minis on order (18” step distance) and will be giving both sets a good workout before choosing one or the other.

Last season I was using 22” dano sticks and a step up onto platform w no aider and got to 18” every time. So I think 4 shikars, 2 w aiders and a platform should get me to the same if not slightly higher?

I was a bit concerned that there may be a bit of flex in the 22" especially at 250lbs! But I am also sure that they wont break, you probably love them

Here we go a side by side beast stick and 22” Shikar.

no other stick bites into the tree like the Shikar.

*Redacted*

shikar is also way deader sound if you tap them together.

the Shikar step also sits about 1” further out from the tree than the beast stick.

How long is that Shikar in packing position?
