6mm will work good. The amsteel 3/16 works but it does flatten a bit as the jaws get a full clamp on it.
Its thin.
I think sheathed cords will work better for the bite.

The world won't end, cannot bankrupt economies over a virus, period. Money makes the world go round not panic, loosing a loved one is never easy on anyone period, but bills keep rolling in after all is done. The world doesn't stop because people may die, doesn't matter how many. I learned this when my mom passed at 49, her bills didn't stop when she passed, kept rolling in, no one cares except relatives, life goes on as usual. Urban environments are hit hardest in times like this history proves this as with all epidemics, pandemics, etc. Just my life observation, no hate responses needed, to each his own. Good luck

I am re-doing some plumbing i kinda botched myself a year or two ago. I was installing tile flooring in our house, about 600 sqf of it and getting tired of it. I put some lines and drains in quickly so i wouldn't have to drill through the tile later. Now i am working on the laundry room and building cabinets and realized these pipes will take up way too much room in the cabinet. So i am cutting them and tidying them up. I dont like plumbing, but someone has to do it.
Soldering and pvc glueing.
I do it nice because i do it twice, hahaha.

Lucky enough to be working for an essential company that has me working from home...been doing accounting work all day. Although, at this point I think I'd rather be helping the guy above me with his plumbing work. :tongueclosed:

Out for a walk in the woods with my wife. She likes tamarack trees.
She says I need to kill the pest that damaged those trees. I said okay. Seems lots worse than tree spikes @huck72412 or bolts @Nutterbuster. On public land too.

That's hilarious! My wife and I took our dogs for a walk this afternoon and she pointed at a couple of rubbed trees and said almost the same thing . . . unfortunately they were only saplings, not the bruiser you're looking at there.

I worked today like every other m-f. When I got home I weed eated the fence and flower beds in the back yard. I burned some grass clippings also. I can already tell by this time tomorrow I’ll be a sneezing coughing mess. AKA public enemy #1.

I made 3 amsteel aiders to be attached to cut down LW sticks. To keep the aider open I put on heat shrink tubing before I made the continuous loop and then put a medium size zip tie in with the amsteel and then heat shrieked it.

Then I made a swaider and attached a double step from DanO. The aiders and swaider weigh 2.2 oz. my old cayg aider weighed 11.2 oz. I added a step to it but saving 9 oz is big. Also the difference in weight of the original LW single step and the ultralight double step is just under an oz.

Also played with a ucr which is basically a different version of a whoopie sling to attach a stick

Made a spool card similar to this https://tuffpossumgear.com/product/sagewood-gear-spoolcards-3-pack/
With some leftover kydex. Using it to manage my retrieval paracord for rappel.

Practiced rappel with my new to me Beal birdie. Works fine.

Messed around with the utilibridge I made for the H2 and the poor mans comfort channels (paracord whipping knots). Worked fine but not sure they will be needed. Luckily it’s just paracord.

I spent all day buying components and soldering copper tubing In the house.
With the shutdown I have found the ambition to get somethings done.
Maybe some electrical next.
Looking forward to getting out but we have plenty of rain coming.

I rebuilt the fire pit behind the house, played with my new wood chipper (it’s terrifyingly awesome) and replaced the Triad bridge on my H2 with a Utili-type adjustable amsteel bridge and then hung in my saddle for an hour.

I watched this video this morning. Very interesting and disturbing.
I don't know how to link it so you have to find it yourself.
I think it's a must watch. Decide for yourself..Screenshot_20200328-073700_Chrome.jpg

Well its raining steady and blow pretty hard.

So I'm packing my gear different ways to see what clicks.
I'm liking this so far. No bunty. Everything Screenshot_20200329-105602_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20200329-105612_Gallery.jpg

Like I said a method right down to which way you wind your rope and everything until it's back in the truck.
