Well there it is. Belt, platform and one stik.

The thing is the straps that came with the ambush.
I cant seem to get them right. Right side up, upside down, stand only or loaded. They don't pack quite right.

Well its raining steady and blow pretty hard.

So I'm packing my gear different ways to see what clicks.
I'm liking this so far. No bunty. Everything View attachment 26596View attachment 26597

Like I said a method right down to which way you wind your rope and everything until it's back in the truck.

How do you like that Platform? I was looking pretty hard at that thing on their site and Youtube the last couple days.

Was wondering if it would be a happy medium between full on treestands and tiny platforms. As in something I could stand up on once in awhile to take a break from leaning into the saddle if I wanted? Yay or Nay in your experience with it?

I post-season scouted a public land swamp that I've never been able to check out before because I didn't have the right gear. It turns out that the hill on the far side of the swamp (which is pretty inaccessible except through the swamp due to posted private property) was loaded with deer sign. I found it after I jumped 3 whitetails out of their beds in the middle of the swamp and then casually followed their escape route. Pretty awesome day, despite the rain.

I like the platform. Good size.
It does flex some. There's lots of opinions on the ambush thread.
You can stand on it no problem.
Good luck.

Man, looks like a GREAT DAY!
My wife likes walking, hiking, scouting, shed hunting but will not hunt. So I enjoy doing that with her. It is always a great day when we do that together. She always finds bigger sheds than me. I look more for old scraps and rubs.

I got a box in the mail today.
Max6 #47@28 on a 21" riser.
I have a feeling I'm going offer up a sweet deal on my max4 longs, #48 on a 21" riser.

Here is a picture max6 next border hex6.
All sweet limbs in their own right.

Well, I have some shooting to get done!

I modified my climbing sticks to 1/2 in. amsteel to get rid of the noisy buckles. I actually haven't purchased a saddle yet or a platform for that matter. I guarantee I will be ready come fall. This is my first post and I'm here to find out what saddle to buy (amongst other reasons)

I climbed with my saddle today,a mock up hunt in my backyard. I didn't bring the platform since the tree i was climbing had branches..I pulled my bow up and took two shots on my strong side and then pivoted around the tree to shoot from another position, two more shots. My first shots with the bow from the saddle,it was awesome.
