What did you do today?

Finished my sermon for Sunday. Delivered some stuff to a family. Hauled and stacked some firewood. Rode bicycles about 10 miles with my son (19 yrs. old). I can still outrun him on a bike. (Note to self: fix his gear shifter). Pedaled all the way up an insanely steep hill! I think I sucked in about 2 weeks worth of pollen huffing and puffing up that hill. Currently trying to talk my wife into going camping tomorrow night and looking for allergy pills. A great day!

Changed the lawn mower blade, cut the gras and put Weed'nFeed down, trimmed the hedge and put the clippings in the bin. Went for an annual checkup with the Doc and took the dog out three times. She's still not tired although she ran a mile home next to the car at 25mph...

Praise the Lord brother!
My son went off the road today coming home from work and rolled his truck. I don't have all the details.
He is bruised up but his cat scans are good and he is doing well.
Let's count our blessings and enjoy the life that we are blessed with.
We will get thru this virus as well.
Stand strong.

So glad he's okay! I just prayed for him.

And I love what you said:

Smoked a brisket.

I took my doggie for a walk to a saddle on state land i wanted to scout..Hardly any deer sign on my way there, but as soon as i hit the saddle there were two good scrapes and a big rub..I worked my way along it and found so many rubs and scrapes i am gaga over it.
I never knew what people ment when they said hot sign,or good sign. This was epic,i have never seen so many rubs and scrapes in one area. It is a saddle, but also has giant red oaks for food and small browse underneath, and a few transition lines as well besides the elevation changes. Oh,and water as well. I will save that spot for some all day sits next fall...

Bought parts for an Ugly Drum Smoker I'm building. Ran a couple of errands. Staying home and doing things around the house this weekend. Including putting my UDS together. Hopefully break it in this week.

Oplux Tether - Wild Edge
Kong Duck - REI (20% discount and $17 dividend applied)
SlumberJack Roadhouse Tarp - Camofire ($86.99 shipped)

And some plywood, piano hinge and outdoor carpeting to build a sleeping platform for my 4-runner

Discount / decent deal on all but tether (standard price/shipping)

Not today I’m a few days behind, but started my affiliation as a staff member for a saddle company
Hope you all are well and stocked up on disinfectant supplies.
Stay safe my fellow tree dwelling brethren

I’m spending 11 hours on a plane bouncing 2,900 miles around the country.

Almost feels like I work in a petrified dish...

I’ve been thinking about you. My next door neighbor is a pilot for Delta. Stay safe, brother.

I moved several tons of river rock and another pile of cultured stone scrap for fill along my driveway. Those 2 piles have been laying there for many years just waiting for me to find a use for them.
Which begs the question...
How come when you have a pile of stone that YOU WANT, it slowly sinks into the ground to be claimed by mother Earth? The stuff disappears.
But, on the other hand, stones, rocks, and boulders mysteriously come to the surface in all my food plots?? Of which, I will surely find with my mower.
One of life's mysteries.

I got out today to try the max6s.
I just want to share with the new guys to ilf
that I have spent much dinero on bows.
Not just recurves compounds as well.
I also have made a couple dozen bows as well
and have a glass powered limb of my own tweaking that shoots respectable in it's own right.

If your looking for high performing limbs with smooth back end on the draw, find away to get a set of Border hex6s, Max4s are nearly as fast and a pinch smoother and max6. These are all considered super curves. To included conventional limbs would generate a long list of very decent limbs.
I narrowed it down to those three.
I could buy Border hex8s or 9s but hex6 are incredible and Max6 are even better.
I can't tell you what I have owned over the years, it would bore you.
Let me just say, there is better and there is damn good enough.
Some of the latest " better limbs feel like your shooting a bow where the limbs are seriously out of time, not for me, funky.
They are out there used. Do your homework when buying limbs, don't buy max5s they didn't really pan out and beware of border hex 7s. I know of a few sets starting to blow and returned.
I know many of you need to experience things first hand. Good luck to you.
Here are three of my better shots with max6, 17 and 25 yrs elevated stand.
They are very good limbs, accurate, quiet and fast.
630 grain 500s #47 limbs.
