Catalyst stick

Another thing is the brackets arent nearly as razor sharp as the beasts. I feel alot more confident I won't tear my clothes on accident, especially my rain gear

they look like they stack awesome. Kinda want some now...lol

All (3) variations looks great!!, might be just me but does the reduction in thickness on the stand off just before the tube (shown below) look like a weak/breaking point?

I think that is a separate peice that is recessed into the body of the stick. Good point though. Looks like it could be the Achilles heel...

I believe your right, but its still the thinnest section at a higher stress area. Not say it will break but i would keep an eye on that area

It's a possibility, but I didn't see it flex in the least on the tree. But these are pretty good guys, and I'm sure we'll be taken care of if something goes wrong. Id love to see a third party option for a stand off, to get the stick a little further away from the tree. The Shikars had it pretty right imo

will DanO standoffs fit? I want to try his pivoting standoffs but don’t want to push my luck with the carbon.

Anybody know if you can add a cable aider to the carbon sticks?

There are two bolts on the bottom step. The top one is also bolting on the standoff. I think you could put them on the bottom bolt on the backside of the stick. You can't put it on the front because the step bolts ride in a channel.

I've been messing around with the GWBs in my front yard on red and white oaks. My only real complaint is the standoff. I don't think they bite well at all. At least with amsteel. The only part of the standoff touching the tree is very outer part(you can see it's shiny) and it's pretty smooth there. They pop up pretty easily even after you set them. Tried with the same piece of daisy chain with a beast stick, and that felt cemented to the treeIMG_20200918_130603_compress48.jpg

The carbon sticks have pretty good tree engagement. The distance from the tree is about 1/8” less than Beast sticks.
