Catalyst stick

There are two bolts on the bottom step. The top one is also bolting on the standoff. I think you could put them on the bottom bolt on the backside of the stick. You can't put it on the front because the step bolts ride in a channel.

Thanks, guess I’ll have to wait and see if somebody does it. There might be an issue with rotating them on the bottom side with the stand-off there. And I’m thinking it could possibly interfere with stacking that way.

Those sticks look pretty awesome. Problem is if I can’t use the cable aiders I’d have to add 2 more sticks and negate the benefits. It’d be hard to go back to other aiders for me.

have you tried a versa aider?

I haven’t, is that what you’re using with the carbon sticks? I’m not sure how I feel about attaching something to me like that while I’m climbing a tree but if it’s really that good I might have to try it.

I went from multi step etriers and the ladder style webbing to cayg webbing to single step fixed amsteel loops to cable aiders and I can use them all but get frustrated with everything but the cable aiders.

versa aider is my choice of aiders. Yes it’s what I am using with the carbon sticks.

A versa aider is the only way I can tolerate an aider. The problem for me is coming down ... in the dark. When you take that step down, all your weight is on one leg and your other foot is hoping to just settle perfectly into the aider. Sometimes you are fishing for the aider with your foot. Sometime you step into the aider with it too far forward on your foot. With a versa aider, you know it's attached to your foot in the right spot. All you do is slowly lower your foot, put weight on the aider, and dig your toes into the tree.

I wish the bottom standoff was under the step and not on top on the GWBs..........

These bad boys came in today.

Man those look sweet, did you ask for some camp cerakote?? Also did you get any kind of notice beforehand, they’ve been pretty much radio silent for the last couple weeks. Gotta go to plan B for my trip next week.

For now beast sticks until I can get my hands on the new tethrd sticks. I'm selling the GWBs to get those. The tethrds have so much going for them it's the first stick I've been extremely excited about in a while

Yeah I asked for the camo cerakote and the rod to hold them them together. They turned a delrin rod and made a screw top for it works really well and is quiet.

If you are running and gunning and needing lightweight sticks the GWB's aren't them. I bought them because I wanted a set of sticks to hand down to my kids. They are machined out of a solid block of aluminum. They have three bolts to worry about. No moving parts. No steps to bend or break or loosen up. They stack great! As long as Amsteel or some other strong braided cord exists I can make daisy chains for them. If that doesn't fit your budget or style get some Beast or EWO sticks. They would also make great sticks for a heavier person. They're probably the strongest sticks on the market. They weigh the same as Beast sticks but cost $200 more. I'm just guessing here but you'll probably have a hard time selling them without taking a hit. Not a lot of people out there are going to buy $500+ sticks. But hey ya never know.
