Who's hunting this weekend? Im off tomorrow and am going to a new WMA in middle georgia and camping all weekend, should have 3 solid days to scout/ hunt

Bumped a buck walking out of the stand, had to leave early cause the sheriff didn't like where i parked...

Going back for him in morning, found a baring persimmon tree for this evening

I went this evening, about 5 minutes before end of shooting light I had a doe come by and as soon as I got the camera on her and went to draw she hit where I walked in and she spooked. All I needed was 5 seconds lol
 
I didn't get out this afternoon. I won't get out till Monday. I don't think I'll hunt Saturday anymore. Too many hunters.

Finished up our first hunt camp, hunted Friday morning through this morning. Spent most of the time scouting, i only hunted till 10 in am and didnt start until 5 in the evening so i could scout most of the day. Never really found the hot sign i was looking for, kinda disappointed. It was a new to us wma and we went in blind, had a lot of fun and good comerodery.

I got one shot last night at a doe. Pulled back, held at full, let it loose,


Aaaand hit a limb. That lighted nock looked like a 4th of July twizzler through the woods. Oh well. That's just hunting i reckon

Thanks, natural ground blind. A medium pine smashed 2 smaller pines. It was like a cave..
I have a tweaky back to begin with, but short story wind caught the canoe, I saved the sunroof, now I can't really sit, stand. The take a knee stance seems to be best.
 
Yesterday made it 4 evening hunts in a row that I got skunked. I scouted some new to me public land and found someone's illegal bait pile, some kind of minerals I guess. People are dumb....I should hunt skunks. I'll keep at it.

Dang that stinks, hopefully you'll improve quickly. Do you access with your canoe often?

No, I just got it this year. More of a cool idea I picked up from some of them there southern boys we have kicking around here.
12 foot Radisson for $250. At 37lbs I couldn't say no, I just hope it gets me a swamp donkey.

This morning was my 8th sit since last Friday afternoon... and the first one I saw deer! Had a little Y sneak in behind me, then had another little one chasing around a couple of does. Sometimes it's just nice to see something!
