That thing is sweet, and Edguns appear to be pricey!

I assume the theory here is an airgun is legal to take with you while archery hunting, whereas a rimfire rifle is not, correct? Perhaps it depends on the state. Mine says no rifles. You can take a handgun but cannot use it to "take game".

I am seeing lots of squirrels and getting interested in trying this approach. Not sure I can justify having a more expensive squirrel weapon than my crossbow or deer rifle though.

Once again this site finds a way to help me part with money!
We cannot carry any firearms with us when bowhunting. If you have a bow, don't have a gun. If you have a gun, don't have a bow. I hate it as we have bears!!!

I had to Google that. Lol. I've never really looked at auto loaders. I miss plenty faat enough with a pump. ;)

The boat's a 1436 with a 301cc predator. Actually just ordered a weldcraft 1436 to replace my 63 year old Sears and will probably trade in the 301 for a 420. No engine mods since it's a long way back to the truck if a cheap import motor blows.
Well you just haul it up to ky and ill buy it!

How many can you all harvest and possess?

VT says 4 per day and 8 in possession. Seems low to me given how many are out there, and how few people seem to hunt them.

8/24 for us. I can’t think of the last time I didn’t eat em when I shot em though.

8 a day. No idea on possession. I've probably had a hundred in my freezer. Really like to instant pot them, pick them, and freeze it all in quart bags. Then you can use it like canned chicken

Makes sense. I just kinda thought I'd be able to stock up the freezer, kinda like with ice fishing for Yellow Perch in the winter.

No worries though, fresh meat it is! Gotta figure out some recipes.

I think you'd have to have made a whole bunch of mistakes to have the fuzz in your house determining how many tree rats you got tucked away in the freezer...I wouldn't worry too much about that. Don't shoot more than your limit, don't break any other rules, life will be good...

Yeah....i got way bigger problems that exceeding the possession limit on nutters of they raid my compound.

Y'all know mountain lions chops kinda taste like a mix of manatee and bald eagle?

Wish they would change it to the same as the dove system...morning limit and afternoon limit
Lol. I like killing squirrels and kill a lot, but I kinda miss when the limit was 8 here, just because I dont like cleaning squirrels and after about the 8th or 9th I'm ready to pitch the rest in a ditch lol. A lot of the time I go I'll be content killing 6-8. But when it's one of those good mornings I'll stay and finish the limit

Have yall found a budget packable airgun yet? I looked at the crossman 1322 that @Nutterbuster recommended but id rather have a break barrel than a pump. Id like to find that fits in my pack, its quiet, and affordable. I came across one called the woods walker or something that was designed for treestand hunters but its a little pricey.
