Check it out, what are yalls thoughts? Looks like the stock is removable so it fits in your pack.

Having this pcp for a minute now, I'll say that I wouldn't buy another one without hearing it be shot. The whole point to me, is to be able to shoot it in your yard with neighbors not being able to tell what the noise is, if they hear it at all. The same goes for deer. It's got a very narrow purpose for me.

I can see a "prepper" argument for it, in that you can get a hand pump, some extra o rings, and you have a grocery getter for life.

But if you're like me, and the point is for it to be compact and quiet, you're probably going to spend a few bucks. If that isn't important to you, a .22 semi auto will shoot farther and flatter for way less money. Suppressing one, and getting subsonic, now you're comparing apples to apples.

I'd try to find videos of that one being shot, or shoot it in person, before committing. Who knows, maybe it's really quiet. I have no doubt you can polish the barrel, and find the right pellet/power combo to get it shooting great. But it may be loud as hell.

Gotcha, thank you!

Got 5 the last time I was out, only have a blurry pic of those so no use posting. Just got the new squirrel killer in 17HMR so I guess I’ll have to break it in with a few bushy tails this weekendB9732D0E-64FE-4F5A-9D85-9126AA1B8EC6.jpeg

head only. Don’t plan on eating any you hit in the body, or ones that a fragment works it’s way into the body!

That seems to be the general consensus for most 17 bullets, especially Hornady’s Vmax, but apparently there’s a few jacketed hollow points that won’t fragment or tear up a squirrel too bad. Might have to sacrifice one just to find out if I picked the right bullet for the job

Got it sighted in today and 10 minutes later had its first victim. Decided to see if the bullets would do too much damage for body shots, these bullets weren’t as bad as the damage I’ve seen from ballistic tips, but will still be looking for some other options 44E07169-2606-45C1-AF59-1EF338A48F6C.jpeg

I know 40 grain fmj bullets ain't too bad out of a 22mag. In my mind the back and hams on a squirrel are about all that's worth eating anyway. Blow both shoulders out!

I’ve been thinking of some FMJs but I’ve always had squirrels fall then run off when I used to use FMJs in my 22. I was thinking the same thing about the shooting for the shoulder, made a gumbo out of my last 5 and hardly got any meat at all from the shoulders

5 more today, figured out it all depends on the angle of the shot with this gun. Broadside, left maybe a quarter sized exit hole which I can deal with. Shot one at an angle, bullet basically skinned the entire front shoulder for me101A667F-8DD8-4E56-98C1-B1F0D647AE1D.jpeg
