I like bibs but they have a few downsides (bulky packing in, very warm walking in with them). Also, before saddle hunting, I bought some very nice pants that I no longer use saddle hunting unless it is warm (because of the up the back draft).
What about a wide torso wrap that overlaps the belt area? You could put this on at the tree (even in the tree if careful) and it would keep your layers properly tucked and be sort of like bibs.
A google search for torso wraps shows they are made for all sorts of things (post surgery, cosmetic, back support, etc).
Thoughts?
