Did it bend like that upon impact with the tree, or did it bend when you were trying to dislodge it from the tree? It's an Abowyer Bonehead. I contacted them and they said to send it to them for a replacement.

Your shooting this out of a traditional bow?I am still sticking with the last few 100gr 3 blade rage broadheads I have, I wish they still made them, I am not that big of a fan of their 2 blade models, but I have killed about 200 animals with the old 3 blades, I have never had a deflection or failure to deploy. I have actually killed 2 sika does with 1 shot with them. I have hung small pigs up on the hoist and seen daylight through them after shooting them with a 3 blade rage. Dang shame they discontinued them. I have a bunch of old ones that I have rebuilt. I know some folks don't like expandables, but I have a long track record with them and really believe in them!

I did not realize it was a traditional post when I posted that comment, I was soon corrected and retracted that statement.Your shooting this out of a traditional bow?
I see on the Aboyer site that their heads have a variety of Rockwell hardness. Which model Aboyer was that?I'm guessing upon impact. I was very careful removing so I wouldn't cause any damage. I'm pretty sure I've seen this same issue with their heads posted on social media somewhere. I am using the GS Samurai Overkill now. Started to try one out last night on a doe, but decided to hold off for one of the bucks I'm after.

I've been shooting the black label GS Samurai for a few years now and have had good luck...shot the 150's for about 6 years and switched over to the 200s this year.
Then I saw the really good sale that GS had on their shafts in which they tossed in free Overkill heads. The Overkill are 54 Rockwell and the black label are 58 hardness. I have not shot anything with the Overkill yet.
Would you please post a picture of this? Trying to get an idea of where you put it.4pcs of weedeater line raised the weight of black eagle outlaws from 410 to 625. I believe the arrows fly a little stiffer.

"It's so simple"
Getting into trad so noob question. Is there any issues with using broadheads that I used for compound on trad (ALL FIXED!!)? I have 125gr NAP Thunderhead, 100gr Montec, and 200gr Valkyrie Jaggers.
Has anyone used the Silverflame XXL? If so what have been your experiences
I get what you are saying about the whole "I shoot..." deal but if a guy, esp traditional bowhunters, wants a fixed head that makes a big hole, that head and Simmons Treeshrks are great options. They are metal, sharp, and high $. Unless you’re going to Africa or a once in a lifetime, I wouldn’t even consider wasting my money.
Like most things.....it’s all about being able to say “I shoot.......”
