Worth noting is that number is 2 times the weight rating at the furthest point away which is a higher stress angle. Also it’s pulled and held there for a few minutes at that weight pull. Remember stands are made simply to stand on, they aren’t to be shock loaded or jumped on. I do think the test strength should be 3x the rated load not 2x
The stand standards are much more reasonable than those for climbing sticks (which see much more dynamic loads, can easily be loaded at odd angles, and are used when it's most challenging to maintain a slack-free connection to the tree) but even there have a blind spot for things like stresses during setup.

How deep are we talking, might save me the hassle of a return although I have my label already.

If you are referring to selling recalled returned sticks as scratch and dent I don’t think they can legally do that.

So are they giving full refunds or retesting? Making sure they wont fail again?
werent they already tested thoroughly before sold?
man i really feel bad for you guys who have these sticks and have to return them with the new season so close.
Its gonna be very difficult to get a set of sticks anywhere before September 1st which is my opener.
This is one of the reasons I own 2 sets of sticks both beast sticks snd lwcg double steps.
If one set goes down im still in the game.
At one time a few years back i was kind of a gear retard lol.
I owned 6 different set of sticks and multiple different stands and diy platfotms lol
Hope these guys rush a bit so people can still hit opening day.

Hawk heliums, affordable and readily available
Muddy Pro sticks were just on camo fire available
Tons of sticks in classifieds
Doesnt have to cost $500 to be good. In fact, we are seeing quite the opposite

I’m still a modded LW / Novix user, they get no love!
I’m using the Novix doubles! I love em. I’m gonna try some OOAL mini Shikars but if I don’t like them I’ll probably switch to the Novix mini single steps and be done for a good while. Unless Cruzr or latitudes sticks come out

Why will it be difficult to get sticks? EWO and trophy line sticks are in stock and 4 packs of heliums are available all over for ~$100.

Definitely agree, multiple sets of sticks and other climbing methods are mandatory!

Novix makes the trophy line sticks right? Looks like a good option at a reasonable price.

Oh good. Thats good to hear
Its just an assumption because of recent years observing i had because the season is do close to open. I know alot of people wait til just before the season to order new stuff
Making supply and demand longer waits for shipping

I always buy identical sets of equipment 2 sets of sticks 2 stands! 2 bows! Backup for out of state hunting. It's hard to get traditional longbows replaced!!

I have a set of Novix singles and doubles. Can’t decide which I like better so I’m keeping them both! For the price and how quickly I received them after ordering they really can’t be beat.

i'd consider 2 or 3 single steps and then one double for up top.....the double really shines when setting and transitioning onto a platform....just to save weight

I have novix minis that I converted only the top stick to doubles. I also have hawk minis. Even if I send these back I'd be OK. Part of it is my laziness to go find a box should I decide to send them back for a refund.

Didn't see an answer but yes they'll test and return or refund if you choose.

My LWs are chopped with double steps on top on some and top and bottom on some. My onestick is just LW double top and bottom and an aider. I have a pile of heliums but I must just like the feel of 1” tubes better, the pivoting standoffs, and the weight. I haven’t dived farther into sticks mainly bc it’s not the weakest link in my deer game.
