There used to be a chefy 14bolt rear axle under the rock truck till I broke it and bent the tubes....the ford stuff seems to not break for some weird reason

The doubler kit for my transfer cases came from offroad designs so I support the bowties indirectly

True story. Guy who owned the cabin in the UP we use to stay at had a son that worked for Ford. He purchased a new F250 and drove around with a 4 wheeler in the back for when he was going to brake down. Now this was a late 90s truck I think. Last of the square bodies. So my assumption was it had to break down before the dealer would resolve what ever the problem was. Anyway, the one night he came back to the cabins on the 4 wheeler. Truck quit. He didn't own that one long. Few years later he had the newer body style with a diesel motor. That truck lasted many years. I think the salt finally ate it away before it stopped running..

How do you get a Chevy to go faster down a hill? Turn the motor off.

True story, I have owned exactly one ford truck. In 42k miles I had to replace a piston, 3 cam shafts and some other engine stuff I dont remember. Leaving the lake pulling the boat one evening, shifted into 5th and when I let go of the shifter it fell over in the passenger side floorboard. About 3 months after finally getting it where it would stay running, a 300-350# black bear tried to run across the road in front of me about 4am. Hit him flush doing between 55-60. Kilt the truck, we never did find the bear. Havent since and dont plan to ever again own a freakin ford.

I think so. It was towed in 7 times so an avg of every 6k. Bout like an oil change so seems pretty good.

Nice! That's pretty convenient. Call up the tow truck place "yeah, I'd like 'the usual' - a tow back to the garage, and an oil change." You got to know the tow truck drivers by their first names. Quite the regular!

What engine? What year..... Sounds like 5.4
