Truck build

Plans went to crap like usual. I'll get the motor pulled slowly but surely in the evenings during the week. Motor mounts, Bell housing bolts, and torque converter bolts are the only things holding it in....rolling the truck out of the garage so the picker can lift it high enough is about the most difficult part of that process.... The garage floor is relatively level but the driveway has a kinda steep grade so it can get away from me and roll off if I'm not careful....

The 4x4 transmission is monster transmission HD c6 with the beefy internals, reverse manual valve body, and higher stall converter. I'll swap the reverse valve body for the stock 1 outta the 2wd and use the factory torque converter....that whizbang stuff is great for the trail rig but not so much for a daily driver

And this dude going on the stand for future project.....she don't look like much but if u had x-ray eyes u see forged internals and real tight tolerances....I have the Dyno sheet somewhere...true 500 with pushrods and naturally aspirated Screenshot_20230218-193145~2.png

One of my favorite memories was senior year, after I'd wrecked and only mechanically fixed my 89 because I just needed to limp it along until I moved, the physics teacher had a one at a time 1/8 mile race in the back parking lot during our lesson on torque, and there was this rich kid that was always flashing his new Acura RSX but couldn't drive for crap. I peeled out into third because I was so amped up but still bested him in my rustbox and shut him up.

Teacher wasn't allowed to do the annual race anymore after that. Apparently I'd caused a disturbance lol.

My love only extends to the 89-95 manual SHOs to be clear. Mine were 89 and 95. The blimps that followed are not to be mentioned.

I miss pretty much all the vehicles I've let go......stupid bills

88 bronco 5.0, 89 bronco2 2.9, 92 ranger 4.0, 88 e350 5.8, 00 f250 7.3

The 92 was my first 1 I got serious about four wheeling.....top hat style hubs for the ford ttb like to explode when u add lockers and big tires

How could I forget the 90 Mazda navajo sport.....that was a good 1. 2.door 4liter with a 5 speed. I bought if for 400 bucks, worked on it for a week,.and hooked up the little uhaul and moved to Tennessee....the gas gauge didnt work so I just filled it up every 200 miles. It had electric shift 4x4 switch that was broke and too expensive to buy another so I cut a trap door in the floor so I could crawl in the backseat, open the door in the floor, and reach down to shift the transfer case manually with a ratchet

Getting some ruff measurements and mocking up to see how it should come together....the side plates are too long and need bolt holes, the pipe needs a trim and looks like the gussets need some trimming....I'll get it all tacked together and weld it out and the front spring hanger/winch mount will be done. I'm gonna try to make as bolt on as possible so can transfer to another truck in the future easily hopefully/maybeScreenshot_20230327-182806~2.pngScreenshot_20230327-182812~2.pngScreenshot_20230327-182750~2.pngScreenshot_20230327-182800~2.png

It's fun to poo poo on the "revivals" sometimes....but in all honesty this undertaking would be way easier if the truck way a chevy. The company offroad designs outta CO specializes in Chevy solid axle swaps and other HD components....I could buy a kit from them and be done much faster ...but where's the fun in that? Hahahaha. I do like some Chevy stuff but only owned 1 and it left a bad taste in my mouth so next was a ford and stayed with them ever since minus this new addition Nissan
