New Gear for 2023, Go!

God I hate the number 9. I understand decades of marketing research show that people minds tell them things are cheaper the lower the denominator are, but my mind is trained to hate prices like that. Its like they think that the 1 cent would be the deciding factor to purchasing a $1000 stand or a $999.99 stand.....
Kinda like stick weight……..hmm

Absolutely not saying it wont function well. No one build better gear really. I am saying that on no planet is it worth the price tag they put on it. Doesnt matter a lick what I think because they will likely sell all they can make because a certain amount of folks just have to buy the latest/greatest and some are just fanboi enough to buy whatever they make. As stupid as that price is, they still havent hit Bishop levels comparatively speaking lol.

I thought it would be introduced at $900. And I wouldn’t necessarily cry uncle at $800.

I think Sit and Climbs were pushing $500 retail last I saw. I see the ebay vultures are piddling them at up to 700...actually $699.99, lol.

That's the first thing I've ever looked at and wondered about foot room. There's only room for toes with the extra platform section on the bottom!

Interesting design though. Haven't seen anything like that myself

I think it looks slick. Love the extra platform size once at height. I'd guess it would be hard to put together silently, well actually I'm sure it goes together quieter than it would come apart.

200 grain single bevel, one piece construction 1.45" wide, 1.375 long. .068 thick s7

3 pieces / $122
I use Sirius arrows and 200gr tuff heads (now also owned by Sirius) and love them to death.

However, from a scientific standpoint, how can one 200gr single bevel be considered a long range option vs another? Is it because it is wider so therefore it will generate more lift and stability? Despite leaving the same bow with the same poundage and draw length? I feel a smaller 200gr or larger 200gr are still……..200gr.

The video just states “improved flight”. Please define improved.

I’m just curious if this is a marketing technique or if I am missing something scientifically due to this new design? If anyone knows the “why”, could you please explain it to me? Thank you.

Actually doesn't a wide, solid head make for worse aerodynamics? ... Because it generates lift. If I recall correctly keeping the mass as close to center, like a field point, is better. So is higher FOC because it moves the center of pressure and center of mass?? I can't find the name of other point at the moment. I'll keep looking though.

Seems to be b.s. marketing from what little I know. Still that's. Big wide head from a reputable company

This is the argument for more FOC leading to better fight

Just watched the video. They're not saying the wide is more accurate than a smaller broadhead. He says their wide is more accurate than other companies wides. He doesn't go into the details of "why". I could believe that there are small design differences that may make one wide more accurate than another wide but, it would have been good if they would have mentioned those details.

The science is "If I can do it, you can do it". Thats what I got out of the video.
