look at the tree he chose lol. Idk if that's why it wasn't solid to the tree or if it's just not good at biting. @Zero One Actual you said yours bit the tree good yeah?
Look at all that play where the platform meets the post. Or is the video playing tricks on me?
I would say that this guy could have picked a better section of the tree to make this video. The tree is curved and fighting the bite, I would like to see a different proven platform set on this same spot to see the difference. Maybe it is the tree or maybe it is the teeth on the platform? but there is a good amount of play for sure as well as noise. That popping noise reminds me of the beast stand that I had.
So thats what I was curious about: whether or not there are metal studs in the tips of the teeth....otherwise they will get rounded so fast as carbon and even whatever epoxy/plastic the matrix is, has low resistance to abrasion. When he toe hooks it, twice the teeth fail to grab the bark and it slides instead of bites.
Damn, What a hater!! JUST KIDDING!!!.....I think this is exactly spot on!That guy got a platform a week before release because he’s clearly a Tethrd shill, and he just couldn’t bear the thought of another YT “mobile hunting gear content creator” getting a video out before him, so he quickly slapped his new platform on the first tree he could find, hit record, and fluffed Tethrd’s—uhhh, tether —for 4min. If that guy is on this forum, I’m sorry to say that was a short, useless, biased review that showed clear issues with both the product and the presentation while trying to persuade you to part with your hard earned dollars AGAIN to support a company that he isn’t even a part of. Literally, helping take your money for someone else to get it in the end.
All this, and 30-40% of my kit still comes from Tethrd because I do like many of their original products. [Now, could you imagine if I was a legit hater?]
And you quoted the short version lolDamn, What a hater!! JUST KIDDING!!!.....I think this is exactly spot on!
Looks like you're hating extra! I just hit reply lol the website quoted it because it knows how much of a hater you are!!And you quoted the short version lol
There is absolutely zero metal in the teeth. So thats what I was curious about: whether or not there are metal studs in the tips of the teeth....otherwise they will get rounded so fast as carbon and even whatever epoxy/plastic the matrix is, has low resistance to abrasion.
None of the videos so far have shown the teeth.
@Zero One Actual do you know when you'll receive your platform?
There is absolutely zero metal in the teeth.
I had a prototype I was using and couldn't post anything about it pre release hence my intentionally cryptic previous posts about waiting for Black Friday and also eluding to what I thought what be a lighter platform with somewhat different dimensions.
For everyone interested in this thread. I am 6'5, 235-240 lbs.How durable would you say those teeth are? Do you notice any wear on them?

Exactly. And the Arsenal packs flatter also. I have not touched or seen the Arsenal in person and I read here they are already making "improvements" for the next model. No clue what that statement means but I'm guessing Arsenal is reading the thread here and making changes to the platform based on actual users feedback. I'd go Arsenal all day if I had to pick between the two.So The CFX is actually:
15.5x11.5 and 3lbs 6 ounces
Arsenal Razor Magnum is lighter at 3lbs 3oz and 15.75x11.25
Wow.
Yes, and its rock solid, quiet, and bites like no tomorrow. Oh right and insanely thin packed up. If I was worried about the cold I could add a 1" thick piece of foam board insulation under and it would still pack in smaller and lighter. So The CFX is actually:

I can not for the life of me get behind this “cold through the boots” concept. If you have ANY respectable amount of rubber in your boot soles you will literally transfer zero cold from the metal platform to your feet. Zero. Rubber is an insulator, and if your feet are cold on your metal platform they’ll be cold on your carbon fiber platform because your feet are sweating inside your socks and you are making actual ice crystals inside your boots, not because your metal platform is “coldening” anything.Yes, and its rock solid, quiet, and bites like no tomorrow. I have been thinking this same thing for a while. If you can feel your mental stand/platform coldness through your boots, you have some terrible boots on.I can not for the life of me get behind this “cold through the boots” concept. The only reason to be concerned about cold is your hands. And if it’s too cold to take your gloves off so you can touch your metal platform or sticks, it’s probably too cold to be in a tree (for me at least).
I’m not coming at you, @kstetar I’m coming at the marketing idea that this carbon fiber stuff is going to help anyone’s cold feet.
Get some wicking socks, or do like JT sang and cry me a river.
