I have the Pro version and it’s just simple to set and solid. Nothing at all wrong with the PSH or a truckers hitch. I have just come to prefer the USA-P.

I do have the USA Pro also. If you are dealing with sticks, you are typically in front of the sticks when fastening the attachment. In this case the USA Pro is better, because you can pull towards you. When i hang my platform while hanging on a rope SRT, typically the platform is on the side of the trunk not in front of me. Then the HFAS is better, because you pulling sideways.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. With mounting it to the tree at chest level, tightening, then camping down, it's loose. So I put weight on the top of the stick, uncam, then cam again and it's tighter, but I was able to push it off with just hand pressure on the side of the platform.

Put it closer to the ground, set it, got on and toe hooked it, and was able to kick it out with just my leg, not even any real weight behind it.

Following, I had the same issues with the HFAS and even the USA Pro Plus that has two Swabish’s. I’ve only messed around with it briefly as I didn’t have much time but on my .5 I could not get a good bite. I will try the truckers hitch method with the USA Pro Plus when I get a chance but with the HFAS I could not get anything close to a good bite on the tree. Like I said, I didn’t have much time so I chalked it up to user error. I thought maybe it just didn’t pair well with .5 and only platform I have at time is a Ridge Runner and that was a no go as well

I caved and got some goodies. They came today. The large CGM side pouch is for my rappel rope and madrock to ride in. The standard size I had a custom option added of a divided interior so I can keep my linesman, kong, and carabiners in one pocket, and my gear strap and extra s biners and carabiners in the other.

Also picked up a 2TC kit. Gonna give it a try.

Now, I want a new Cobra in the Strata pattern, for no other reason than Strata! Love this pattern.

Wish I would of came across this thread a few days ago. I decided now is the time to get into saddle hunting so I will have time to learn and whatnot. Long story short, things spiraled out of control the other day and my wallet got 1k lighter.… I just kept clicking and buying thinking this stuff isn’t very much….well it’s not until you add it together.

You are going to fit right in. Have you checked out the classifieds forum or the discounts forum yet? :p
