Saddle hunters support thread.

Well that didn’t last long, just spent more money. I’m afraid this thread isn’t really helping at all…

Have you seen the 2024 New Gear Thread??????

Went and bought a pair of the Lacrosse Ursa MS boots. I'm either gonna break them in or they're gonna break me lol, they're brutal on my ankle bones. They've gotten a little better so far, but I keep looking at the Crispi Altitude GTX...

I bought a pair of Crispi Nevada's last year, no break in at all. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Not everybody has the same experience, depending on your foot. Centre Boot, Bellafonte, PA had a booth at the VT TAC last year with a trailer full of Crispi boots. They had a deal going at TAC and I think they were $20-$30 off (maybe that was what I told my wife:laughing::laughing:). The way they were selling them last year, I have to believe they will be at some of the TAC's this year, just be careful if you try them on. https://centrebootco.com/

I own the Crispi Shimeks, and the break-in was not comfort-based it was to solidify my heel lock. The Ursa boots fit my foot great and have a great heel lock, but the upper is super stiff with minimal padding (albeit great ankle support lol).

Leukotape or KT hotspot tape will help while you get 'em broke in. Guessing you prolly already know that though.

Correct, and/or good socks. BUT the thing with these: it's not a friction issue, it's currently a compression issue (to the point of bruising). They have gotten a bit better, but I'm not running them super tight either. Just trying to flex the upper fully to soften it.

First of all that meme is 100% accurate. Lol.

So far I got a Cruzr xc saddle, Lwcg the fix platform, RDA one stick, Rappel kit from EWO and some other things from there, madrock safeguard, assortment of stuff from Custom Gear Modifications and Genesis 3D..

Well you're certainly off to a good start! Now get out and practice, practice, and practice some more! Don't be surprised if you've ended up with some things you don't use or don't like, or want to swap out for something else. It happens. I'm still buying crap lol.

Time to give @MattMan81 one in the win column on the idea this thread was started, although he still has to count me more in the losses overall I’d bet. I’ve been blessed enough to have more great gear than I could’ve ever dreamed of or likely need. Go get ‘em, be proud of every one. IMG_6565.jpeg

I'm jonesing for a fix. I haven't ordered any new gear this week. Last week I ordered the RDA trucker elite rope, and it shipped earlier this week. For some odd reason, coming from New Jersey, it skipped right over Tennessee and went to Georgia. Come on man!

And the new drop away rest I ordered was supposed to be here today, and is now saying Monday.

I need the endorphin release of opening a new piece of gear! Aghhhh!

I think I may go to harbor freight and get a stand to mount my EZ Press on. I got a 25% off coupon burning a hole in my email.
