Best affordable cellular camera that doesn’t break the bank

I use a tacticam reveal x. It’s priced similar to the moultree delta. I use alkaline batteries in mine but since it’s been -10°c at night here, the batteries were draining quickly and lasted just over 2 weeks. You need the lithiums from energizer if you’re after a couple month solution or even...

    Baiting conflicts

Just an update. I didn’t hunt his bait pile in the end. I did go to check on it as the batteries on his camera got low on opener and of course magically a hunter was snooping around it. He was scouting for bow season apparently. Then 20 minutes later a pack of dogs came in barking at me showing...

with a rifle yes but not with a bow. Tomorrow is controlled shotgun, no bows allowed. I will be packing the ole trusty 870. Thanks for the comment:)

    Baiting conflicts

I am warming up to the idea. After re-reading my post and reading the comments it definitely makes more sense to hunt it. My brother runs a bait pile as well and has had a hunter hunt it and another hunter swiped his sd card. Tough go on public even with bait round here

    Baiting conflicts

It is 9ft up and using a tactacam reveal x. The red line on screen setup goes right on top of the bait pile. Also the sensitivity is level 9 and all i can say are good things about this camera. Weak/moderate signal fyi

    Baiting conflicts

I can live with that. He is there just before legal lately. He was cruising during lunch time on my brothers cam 300 yards away a week and a half ago(rut for us). Looks like he settled down a bit. Thanks for the comment

    Baiting conflicts

In Ontario you can bait for whitetails. Well, my dad can’t walk too well and wanted to bait on a crossing that was about 150 yards to the truck so he can still be in the game. I figured no problem as I just honestly feel bad that he just can’t hunt like he used to. Anyways, we baited and only...

    Epic Busts

That’s a bummer and feel your pain. That happened to me last year but with my target buck. The only thing I could think of was that he knew every detail at the crossing and the tree profile was just a bit too off for him. I think your deer is just that in tune With her surroundings and perhaps...

    Yeah….I’m gonna say it

You can bait on public land in Ontario. Last year i saw 4 bait piles in the first 20 acres of a 100 acre parcel of public. My dad can’t walk too well anymore and wanted to hunt over a bait pile. He wanted it in a location picked for easy access for him. It was put 40 yards from their(deer)...

    Covered in seeds!

Beggar Ticks is the name of the plants of those seeds. Anyways, I usually get them on my muck boots. I use a car window scraper and it makes quick work of em.

    Tethrd saddle question

I have one. Used it for a handful of sits. It is comfortable but i am a sitter. Leaning puts too far from the tree, i like being as concealed as possible. It’s my only saddle that i own and don’t see me switching anytime soon. I am a 34” waist and use a large.

Is saddle hunting really not as expensive as we make it seem?

I agree with a lot said above. Money is a lot more fun if you budget and stick with it. I saved for a full year and bought the whole saddle setup, for us in Canada it is costly getting in the game and didn’t want to DIY this stuff. It costs what it costs but i am satisfied with my gear. Also, if...

    New Hunting Beast Hang On

If you get a menace with ropes and predator it costs $464 plus shipping. That being said, if you want the very best platform, ropes, saddle then yes, i agree 100% brother. I think he is going to do well. I laughed at YETI and then i tried one...........
