    Ultra Light Saddle ideas?

I just did a quick search for sewing contractors that came up with several options for places willing to sew industrial products.

    Ultra Light Saddle ideas?

Find a sail maker or an awning/industrial canvas producer. Should be able to find several willing to work with you over the internet. Maybe contact strapworks.com and see what they have to offer. They sew several different straps themselves so they at least have the know how and machines. A...

DIY rigid seat for TL saddle?

I have not tried this, yet, but how about a rigid seat on the outside of the saddle? I would try hanging it from the exterior webbing loops with adjustment buckles on the "sides"by your hips to change the attitude/angle of the seat. I once made a solid seat out of 1/4" plywood covered in...

Dont Be A Climb Paws Sucker

Not that you need more convincing, but I'm not too great of a fan of them. I like the concept and the paw construction, but they don't stack so they're bulky, they're hard to get seated well so they don't lean away from the tree when you weight them, and all those buckles and straps are...

Dont Be A Climb Paws Sucker

Man, that sucks! I have a set of Climb Paws and my experience with the company 2 years ago was excellent. Hope it's not another hunting company down the tubes... The steps Boone0 makes are awesome and I'd recommend that design too. But this season I threw together some knock off top paws and...

    What to do about pee.

And I do it whether I've had coffee or not. In fact, I almost always have coffee before I hunt. Black. No sugar.

    What to do about pee.

I pee in the woods every chance I get. I have had deer stop to smell my pee more than commercial urine/estrus. I pee in scrapes especially, and when I revisit shortly after, it is almost always torn up, but the ones I don't pee in don't necessarily get the same attention.

    Cold Weather Gear

I am currently using a top base layer of Colombia Omni Heat which I like. It's similar to the Arctic Shield concept of body heat reflection but it's much quieter and very flexible and breathes. Roger, I've always thought the Arctic Shield clothing made a lot of sense but had my doubts about...

Lone wolf strap for lineman belt

Looks like I'll have to try a LW or Ameriprise stap. I have used the original treesaddle lineman's belt until this year when I switched to a climbing rope and prussic knot lineman's belt. That works fine for me as long as I'm not seeing up Climb Paws where I find myself adjusting the belt a lot.

    Its not too late guys.

Me, too. I'm not seeing near the numbers of deer this year. Many sits not seeing a single deer. And not that it's directly related, but I've seen far fewer squirrels and turkeys as well.

What arrow do you use for deer?

I use Cabelas Stalker Xtreme arrows. I believe they're made by Gold Tip. I use a Whisker Biscuit rest and these arrows make far less noise on the draw I was getting with other arrows.

what bow holder/hanger do you use?

I use a 12" piece of Romex sheathed 3 wire electric cable. I use it as a big twist tie. It's firm enough to hold my bow while shaped in an "L"and I can twist it however I need to to get the length I need. I just hang it from my tree strap. I use another one on the right side of the tree to hang...
