If it’s capably sturdy, I actually think cast is slightly quieter than machined. My favorite thing is how the seat folds up, like the Millennium M7. Ideal for dropping the stand into the load shelf/sling/panel of a good frame pack. I wish they challenged the .5 sized stands. I still hate these types of seats, so I hybrid w/ a saddle. Unless they come up with something, the aftermarket mesh seats are going to kill that slick seat folding feature.
 
I got the whole nested system today. I have to say that it’s going to be hard to beat the stand given the size and weight. I’ve been using a Helo lately and I like this stand significantly better.

The sticks nest easily too. Too early to draw final conclusions but I’m excited to put the stand and sticks through the paces.
 
Any idea where the Z8 is made? Not really finding it on their website. I’m guessing I already know but.

If you eliminate their pack how does this system compare to LWCG? Profile when packed? Easy of packing? How secure when packed does it require additional straps?

I won’t be using it without the pack so I couldn’t tell you. I don’t like the custom gear sticks. So I don’t use them but nothing will pack more streamlined than the custom gear compacts.

Not so sure. These Novix mini sticks pack nice. Save me 1lb 4oz over the LWCG sticks.
My new Feather Wolf sticks arrive today. They will also pack low profile on my .75.
