French press makes it much better, especially a $3 French press. I have a backpacking micro stove that I use to heat water.I like their French Roast.
However I recently found a French press coffee maker at the local Goodwill for like 3 bucks. Had all parts and works great. Now I need to figure out what coffee I like. Started with Sumatra.
And do I want to take a yeti of hot water or get a small stove for the water? Decisions Decisions lol.

My life has become delightfully hectic in the past year. I've got a dream family and a dream job, but the downside is that work, play, and family life all bleed in together and I wind up working from sunup to sundown. Taking a break from writing an article right now, actually.
I've been trying to establish rituals to help ease me out of work mode and into relaxation. I've rediscovered the joys of a really good bourbon in a mixed drink, but I try to limit that to one drink Friday and Saturday night. I've been brewing a cup of decaf the other nights to try and wind down, but I'd like to spice it up some.
What's a really good creamer/addition to a cup of coffee that doesn't have booze? I'm also not opposed to something with a little preparation or "ritual" to it. Actually mixing a drink seems to do as much or more to make me disconnect from work as the drink itself.
You can buy the Torani syrups in a myriad of flavors for something simple, my wife and I have a caramel and cookie something on tap so to speak most of the time.Reviving an old thread here.

The Celestial Seasonings herbal teas are nice. Maybe have a special cup for it, or a chair you sit in while you drink it.Reviving an old thread here.
