    What's everyone's favorite big platform?

Trophyline Mission for me. Big enough but not too big. Absolutely rock solid in the tree too.

$430 + lots of fiddle factor = no thanks

    Tethrd Carbon Fiber Platform

CF is a great material and absolutely worth the upgrade in some applications. However, CF in hunting platforms is more beneficial to marketing than anything else. Nothing wrong at all with quality aluminum

    Tethrd Carbon Fiber Platform

Can’t wait to see the price… yikes Carbon is stiffer lighter and stronger than aluminum but has its drawbacks. Is it worth it for a platform? Personally I think it’s up to the user. Don’t really see the carbon arrow comparison too, apples to oranges

    2TC- Thigh loop?

Thinking about trying this climbing method. Can someone please explain the purpose of the thigh loop and pros/cons. Thanks!

    I’ve been told…

Doing both definitely messed up my trad accuracy but not so much with the compound. Ultimately I decided to fully commit to trad and my proficiency went way up, especially with hunting success. That being said, I did use my compound out west for elk because my trad bows are a little light...

Down side of 1 stick climbing

Definitely some downsides but I’m considering it for sure. I think the pros outweigh the cons for the most part. Some downsides for me are time/effort required (practice helps) to get up a tree, noise, fiddle factor, etc..

    SITKA CARGO BOX

Extremely well thought out/designed pack. If it’s the larger of the 2 (tool bucket I think is the other one) you should have enough room.

    Movement around tree?

Yes, you are correct. I have not tried a ROS. I might give it a shot though. However, the whole purpose of saddle hunting for me is to bring less stuff into the woods not more.

    Movement around tree?

I understand moving the loop on the tether would help by changing the angle/fulcrum but wouldn’t that create more movement, both from me and the rope itself. I don’t see how I could do that as a deer was approaching or in the area, especially with my bow in my hand.

    Movement around tree?

Hello everyone, I really like the idea of being able to shoot 360deg around the tree but I found it takes a lot of movement and that I’m also constantly fighting what seems like a tendency for my body to swing back around towards my platform, like I’m fighting gravity but side to side (if that...

2 step or 3 step aider for one-sticking?

Not sure if it matters but I was thinking of 15” stick with 15” aiders just for consistency, especially in the dark.

2 step or 3 step aider for one-sticking?

Great, thanks for the info. Looks like I’ll give the 3 step aider a try

2 step or 3 step aider for one-sticking?

Who prefers which and why? Any disadvantages/advantages other than the obvious (an extra step). Thanks!

    EWO UP

Hello all, Looking into one sticking w/the EWO UP and was curious how comfortable and roomy it is compared to the Predator, etc. I realize the front of the UP is angled unlike the predator but can you still stand on it for a bit if you wanted to (size 11 feet) or does it just work for...

    .500 spine arrows? (tradbow)

I also think a lot depends on how the riser is cut. Mine is 1/8” past center. In general more forgiving of spine

    .500 spine arrows? (tradbow)

    45# 28” 28 3/4 150 or 175 (both fly well)

Summit Open Shot alternative to LWHC

I suppose that would work but I can’t imagine the movement to secure your feet and noise required to move around the tree with deer in range wouldn’t be a problem.

Summit Open Shot alternative to LWHC

With the hand climbers as platforms how are they with side pressure to lean out and shoot 360? Is that an option or is the big advantage to the hand climber weight savings ? Thanks
