    Predator XL pack setup

Planning on getting the predator xl pack for my platform, looking to see some setups anyone might have did with the predator pack or the new xl. How you're packing sticks on it and gear, etc.

    Sounds good, thank you.

    Less is more.

Yeah, I've been using the predator XL. I usually don't pack too many extra layers in though honestly, maybe a heavy jacket at most. I'm thinking more and more sticking with a backpack is the way to go though.

I'm looking at ordering a new saddle, currently have the Cruzr XC. I'm 6'5 225 lb, pretty athletic. I'm kinda stuck on the tethrd lineup. The mantis seems a little longer, the phantom seems like it's got some features I'd really like and then the menace is obvious for bigger guys, but I'm...

    Less is more.

I end up pulling quite a few 5 hours plus trips so I like to pack some water, snacks, etc... plus all my gear. The backpack is nice to have, but I'm always trying to downsize also.

    Less is more.

That's kinda where I'm stuck, on the one hand a backpack with sticks and a platform is kinda bulky. On the other hand having a bino harness, platform, sticks and a waist pack strapped around my shoulders seems like it could get annoying too. I'll probably get the eberlestock x2 and go with that...

    Less is more.

I've been playing with the idea of transitioning from a backpack to a fanny pack. Between the gear I carry in my sys haulers, the platform and sticks, bow etc... I feel like most everything could be covered with just a fanny pack. Any ideas? Anyone tried this, pics?

Yeah you're in some nasty stuff from the looks of it. You can tell that extra strap does make a difference for sure, I might end up getting one down the road. I still like the shape of the lonewolf better than the predator honestly, maybe just because it seems more familiar though.

I'm not a fan of the buckle straps on the helium sticks at all either, I think I'm gonna end up changing all my straps to daisy chains, even the platform strap.

Man you got it figured out. I like that set up a lot! How do you like the lone wolf platfrom? I was really considering it and ended up getting the predator XL based solely on price.

I was just watching videos on the 1 stick method, seems like the best way to go honestly. Yeah definitely, I need all the ideas I can get. I appreciate it man.

    New to saddle hunting

I've been using the 30" hawk helium sticks for now, feels more comfortable to me until I'm more acquainted with it. I get pretty shook up when it comes to heights so I'm just working on trusting the equipment and everything at the moment. I'd like to eventually transition to 2 smaller sticks and...

    New to saddle hunting

I just bought a cruzr xc, should be here tomorrow. I'm hoping I like it as much as I think I will, I did a lot of research and I feel like I got the right saddle for me at least. I'm 6'5 240.
