    Palmettos

I only hunt the edges where they meet a swamp, thick cover, or oak hammocks. Hate the sea of green that seem to go on forever. If I was reduced to only hunting palmetto flats would be with a rifle. That said love hunting the edges in early season because the deer love them berries.

Good thing the seasons don't coincide! My guess is duck hunters or gun hunters. Hope you can figure it out this fall and connect with a decent buck.

    deep south swamps

In my experience...bucks like natural points in the land, as it should be a little higher elevation than the swamp...kind of protected from 3 other sides..so pretty hard for predators to sneak up on them...but just my opinion

    Replacement bridge

Where did you get this bridge?

    Replacement bridge

I prefer the tubular webbing bridge, only down side for me is the lack of pitch adjustability. One year I ran it through prussic on the bridge loops... But some people in here found it unsafe, and as I am not a linesman or arborist I took the advice!

    Arrow tune

My bow is 40lbs @28", goldtip classic 500's...they come with a 77 grain insert already installed. Paired that with a 125 grain tip and flies like a dart with field points and broadheads. Three rivers archery has a spine calculator that will get you pretty close...also I don't bareshaft tune

    40# vs 45#

500 spine goldtip traditional classic. Cut to 30" with 78 grain insert, and 125 grain tips and broadheads

    40# vs 45#

Going up 15# is quite a bit on your fingers. But if you can shoot it comfortably up to you. I have a 35#,40#, and 2 50#s. By far the forty is my favorite to shoot and hunt with. Enough power with a tuned high foc arrow and a single blade , never had any problem putting animals down...mostly pass...

I agree with weldabeast. If for the purposes of bug out or to not be seen by people, your definitely gonna brush it in anyway.
