    Diy target from dumpster diving

Weldabeast won’t have to worry about that, he will have enough targets for all his arrows!

    Diy target from dumpster diving

You can just shove it in a new one when it rots or gets shot out. Worst case you dumpit all in a 3rd hand bag. I have a customer that was manufacturing bag targets on a large scale for several box stores. The manufacturer of the bags changed the material so it would be more biodegradable and...

I’d be willing to bet it’s not the same but yes it’s free.

    Diy target from dumpster diving

Hang it outside for a while and see what the sun does to it, most of these bags now degrade quickly in the sun. The third hand faces don’t.

    My primal platform

Initially I planned to attach it to the step but I decided it wasn’t necessary, it fits very tightly and the stay together well. I do plan on fastening them in the future.

    My primal platform

My platform weighs in right at a pound. The legs are attached with 5/16 18 cap screws which have somewhere around 5,000 pound shear strength As for material I don’t really have much on hand but whenever I need small amounts like this eBay always gets checked

    My primal platform

Ha ha, at this point pretty low, it’s too time consuming to be cost efficient. but I’ll try post a drawing if anyone needs a bit of help.

    My primal platform

It does have cuts on the outside on the left and right, version II will have them front to back too. 3/8” should be plenty strong, most of the force is on the legs that stick into the step, mine are 1/2” x 1 1/2”

    My primal platform

Super easy to make especially if you have a CNC mill. :) But could definitely be done with basic tools. You can buy a piece of aluminum on eBay if you need materials.

    My primal platform

You can get the strap super tight thanks to the extra leverage of the platform, but the strap stretch will still allow for a bit of pull away. I did put my full weight on each side without issue. I may make another with a few changes after using it a bit.

    My primal platform

I haven’t hunted off it yet but it’s pretty solid. The only movement I get is from stretch in the strap. Measures 6”x 12.5”

    My first prussic

I bought 11mm kernmantle rope for a tether and linemans belt and 7mm bluewater for prussic. It seems like the bluewater might be a bit stiff for the application? It grabs most of the time but seems like it might possibly slip. I haven't done any real testing yet. is this combo ok or should I get...

I’m new and I need some advice

I have a sit drag on order as well as a rock harness. What do I need for rope? The more I read the more confused I get . Is there a comprehensive list of what’s needed? Is there someplace where I can get everything?
