    I wonder if after you feed the amsteel through the daisy chain loop and pull it tight if you could pinch it with your left hand and throw two half hitches. My guess is that it would save a little time and the need for an elastic band or button.

    I think a good take away point is that all of our equipment has the potential to fail. It doesn’t really matter how well you think it is made. A certain percentage will fail, hopefully that’s a small percentage.

    Saw or Pruners??

    I use a small (12-14”) fold out saw to trim just a couple of small limbs to get shots. I like to leave as much as I can for cover. It’s small and since it folds up it doesn’t catch on anything in my pack.
