Double steps for DIY sticks are here!

Would love to see your version of the brackets :) Have a 2' length of 6061 and 2 steps. This is where I harvested the aluminum in the pics above if y'all are curious why there is a random hole in the middle.

Double steps for DIY sticks are here!

I've scoured for a few hours and LW was the only place that had them in stock. I wonder if you could cost effectively stamp/bend 6061 angle.

    The Hunting Public and Tethrd

I guess it's worthless without an example, but that's precisely my perspective. If you're remote in the woods, would you hike/paddle a mile and drive umpteen miles home, grab dinner and troops, let everyone watch your shot, then drive and hike/paddle umpteen miles back hoping you can find where...

    The Hunting Public and Tethrd

There were a few episodes I caught where their order of operation was: 1. Shoot deer 2. Go home and get dinner 3. Watch the shot 4. Track deer I get acting for the camera and drama, but hopefully that's what's going on. I started getting the vibe it was part of their routine to have to wait all...

    Question on money and gear

The quality venison I can get in the freezer this year will hopefully offset a portion of that cost. My local, grass fed, non-hormone half cow (185lbs) is $1,600 ($8.65/lb), If I can get 150lbs of meat in the freezer this year, that's $1,300 less my wife and mom are going to spend - and likely...

While we get caught up on pre-orders, these will be delivered by date of order. The earlier you ordered, the higher...

    Primal v-treestep

Are there any statements out there regarding just how accepted they are on public land? I was using them this weekend in the backyard and they ate up my tree and phone pole more than my old climber would. Nope, just pull and it tightens. Like others have said though, they're too loud and heavy...

Double steps for DIY sticks are here!

Thanks, DanO. Now I just have to wait for the Lone Wolf brackets. They're $10-ish plus a few bucks for postage, so +/- $25. Genuinely worth it. You can get some 6061 aluminum on ebay for $16 shipped and DIY a versa button with a washer and spacer/spring. Better than a LW stick for half the...

    Anyone ever dyed clothes?

I've seen a lot of guys use RIT dye to make the ACU bdus stomach-able. Guess you could use a squirt bottle or sponge if you want to target only a small area.
