New to climbing sticks - securest attachment method

For my first year of saddle hunting I replaced the straps with 1/4” Amsteel. It’s bigger diameter than is necessary but grips very well, feels more like a rope. Overall for me it’s easier to use than the straps and definitely less noisy. I keep each Amsteel line wrapped on each stick, stows very...

Will a buck go back through were he was shot before?

Personal experience, it can happen. But maybe not during daylight hours. Happened to me with a buck just last year. Saw him on cams - but only at night after that. Nighttime seems to give nocturnal animals security. Learned that as a youngster trapping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    WTB Backband or Recliner

Bump, was going to order new but if someone has something ... I don’t anticipate saving a bunch of $ just looking for a quick delivery and reusing some perhaps idle gear. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Arrow cutoff saw

I’ve used this one to cut many arrows when I was tuning arrows for recurve. The blades wear out quick but very cost effective alternative. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    WTB Backband or Recliner

Looking for a back rest/band like Trophyline or Tethrd makes. A nice homemade one would be fine too. Or point me in the direction where I could get one quickly. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is LWCG Silent Touch / Slayer Tape?

I ordered a roll of the 2” stuff, I’m putting it on all strap buckles. Having the tape around the platform is obviously good but I was very pleasantly surprised at how the tape on the mission platform buckle took the “ting” out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is LWCG Silent Touch / Slayer Tape?

I bought a Trophyline Mission Platform from another saddle hunter (awesome platform) and he added this tape on the platform perimeter and buckle. This stuff works very well. Does anyone who has seen it or uses it recognize it from somewhere else? I’ve not seen or felt anything quite like it...

    Lineman’s knot

I should have clarified that the loop I showed on the picture was for a tether, not a lineman’s rope. But for giggles I went out to a tree in the backyard (benefits of working remotely from home), wrapped a rope around it at forehead height, and tied a double dragon knot to secure the rope to...

    Lineman’s knot

Rethreading a double dragon is easier (my opinion obviously) than the figure 8 follow through. It’s difficult for me to tie a figure 8 without actually setting it on a flat surface or table. I can tie a double dragon, rethread or otherwise, in my hands. It’s quite easy to learn and readily...

    Lineman’s knot

That’s a pretty fair comparison. I would concur on less bulk and less rope, it’s noticeable in the dump pouch. I would add that the double dragon is also easy to tie and dress. You can dress/tighten it in any order. I find myself having to fidget with the figure 8 at times when I’ve practiced...
