    Screw ins?

I'm starting to wonder if screw ins are really the way to go. Is there anyone who has tried screw ins who prefers another method? I am allowed to screw in on the land I hunt. Cheers

    Sewn eye and thread strength

I tested the included speedy stitcher thread to 35 lbf breaking strength. Then I sewed up an eye with 60 stitches, doubled thread. The stitching should fail around 2200 lbf with a 75° stitch angle. The Bluewater 7mm accessory cord is rated for 2,300 lbf. Does anyone have a rope test rig we can...

Can I use a full body harness?

I have a Hunter Safety System harness, it has loops for a lineman's belt. Can I use this instead of an arborist harness? EDIT: HSS states that the harness is not a fall restraint device if the rear tether is not attached to the tree. So it seems the answer would be no.

Trying to decide on my first tree setup

Hey all. First year bow hunting deer and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get altitude. I live in Bangor, ME and hunt public land. The setup to beat is a ladder stand with a good full body harness. I have no life-and-safety rope experience, and getting up to speed on standard procedures...
