2 or more deer in a year?

This past year I killed 9. Wile saying that I also take full advantage of owning my own business and being able to start my work day by 4am during season so I can be done before 2 every day!I hunted at least 4-5 days a week. So my sits to deer wasn’t that good but I let a lot of deer walk. This past year was my best year and I only took one buck. Rest were does. Freezer was full now I’m starting to run it down but only 3 months till it opens again!!

I’ve had seasons I didn’t take a one, and seasons I took as many as 5. I’m kinda all over the map!

I’ve never lived in an area with liberal bag limits, but I’ve averaged 3.14 deer for the last 14 years

I average 3 or 4 deer every year - that's about all we can eat - but last season did not shoot one. First time in about 40 years I didn't kill deer...Saw many does and small or average size bucks that I could have taken...Couldn't shoot my bow due to shoulder issues except a few weeks of the early season and just couldn't get my mind wrapped around using a crossbow even though I did go out with it several times and had good shot opportunities with it. My standards are so high on bucks when using the rifle that I rarely shoot one with that anymore...Should have killed some does but not being able to shoot my bow took a lot out of my desire to kill something...I did tag out on turkeys this spring with the crossbow - 2 gobblers - so have overcome that issue - and not killing a deer last season has me already hungry and motivated more for this fall than I have been in quite some time....

You know I have never thought about the fact that some may be able to kill more than one deer a year. In PA, it's one buck a year, but you can get 3 doe tags every year. You can also get unlimited special reg tags in wmu 2b, as well as 2 additional DMAP tags in each of the deer management zones! In WV it's a three buck a year limit and unlimited doe tags in certain areas. Plus if you live in "urban hunt zones", you can kill an additional 7 deer, harvesting a doe first, but allows for 2 of the seven to be bucks....
I honestly can't imagine only being legally able to kill one a year, 4 deer give my family all of the red meat we need until the next hunting season.
I've shot at least 3 for the past 5 seasons. This past year I began hunting in WV as well and harvested 2 bucks and a doe, and in pa a buck and 2 does. I made a deal with my wife a while back that I'd donate the first deer of the year every year, to hunters feeding the hungry. So I get to be in the woods quite a bit, God bless yall that legally can't shoot more than one....
