2018 Teams

@ team 3. Until the medium mantis ships I'm sidelined unless someone has a sit drag or something I can barrow. Ordered right before July. Season opens 10/6 here and definitly have prospects. Hook a brother up team 3.

Competitive hunting is one thing, being on a team seems way different. I am a teammate now. I'll do my best for you guys on Team 8. Planned hunts are Mass/ Ohio/ Maine. I will do 15 + full days total. plus a bunch of partial days in Mass.

Trex and raptors
Honestly I'm the wrong one to talk I prefer the .35 whelen and .444 marlin for my rifles. Also run a 7mm-08 but not as often. I like to over gun for most situations.

Ah what the hell you shooting in Vt with 300 win mag?
Everything. This rifle is totally custom. Stainless chopped and crowned barrel by Louis laberge, trigger customized and bolt jeweling by him as well. Barrel fluted. Pepper laminate stock. Leupold stainless vxii. Originally built it for a maine whitetail mtn rifle, but it became my favorite. Shoots flat and groups amazing.

Louise was the man. He could build one hell of an accurate rifle.

My father carries a rem 700 mtn rifle in 7mm 08 with a bell adn carlson stock. Amazing rifle. I have relatives that swear by the 35 whalen. They all shoot rem 740 pumps. The amount of lead they throw through the air is crazy...they also kill more dear than anyone I know... I don't like to be under gunned :) it's smaller than my 300 weatherby mag :)

Yes he was. Did all my hunting rifles and did all the custom work on my biathlon rifle when I was competing.

My 7mm-08 is the mountain rifle as well and my whelens are both 7600 pumps. .225 sierras they are thumpers. Guys down at the gun club warn people about me. Don't take advice from him because most of the guns he shoots will rattle your fillings out. Bigger calibers light weight guns. Kind of funny if you know me because I'm 145lbsoaking wet. Recoil doesn't really bother me much.

Funny. The 740/7600 pumps are hard to come by in 35 whalen! Man they knock a deer down though.

Totally agree. Usually it's the first well placed shot than as your cycling for follow up the front end is caving in.

@redsquirrel where do you want us to post are entries and are we doing one board for posts and one for discussion like last year?
