2021 Trash Talk!!

Sorry to create any confusion @katiesmom. :)
That's just the screamer I use when one sticking. I didn't disconnect it like I usually do during a real hunt.
I like to climb on a short tether but hang in a longer one for comfort so once I get to height I cross my linemans over and hook it to my other bridge loop. Then I hook that into the upper biner on my tether. That gives me an adjustable bridge. Then, when hunting I typically then take that whole screamer and lower biner off to ease the ability to twist if needed and to reduce any potential for extra movement. Since I was only watching and filming I just was lazy and left it attached the other morning.

Glad you're still using your screamer too @boyne bowhunter, I still incorporate the dmm ripstop in my setup as well.

Gotcha, thanks.

Is there a handicap for new hunters. Dont want to join and bring down a team thats trying to win or else i might end up in the crosshairs lol

I want @Cobra on my team. I think he is a sleeper and has some big ones lined up as beginners luck.

Same here. This has been a weird year. With the addition of the second kid and change in job with increase duties and responsibilities I have just been exhausted. The other day I even told my wife I don’t even know if I’m gonna go deer hunting this year. I’ve decided that’s false. But it will be well less prepared. I’m hoping it gives some joy to it that’s different than a fully prepared season. May even run into some dumb luck along the way not overthinking things.
In years past I would summer scout like crazy, preset, shooting lanes, etc....what I've learned is majority of all that is a waste of time. The scouting is useful if ur a newbie...just learning what a transition line is and how to follow or a funnel etc...but once u know that kinda stuff the preseason stuff doesn't really amount to much during hunting season. Sure, knowing where some travel routes are is definitely good to know but the deer may not be there like they were in the summer. There has been lots of times I had a plan all laid out just to have my preset flooded, or a bunch of trees fall, or another hunters in there. I think it's probably regional....the weather seems to always mess up all my preseason planning. I enjoy having no real set in stone plan...take off from the truck not knowing where I'll end up adds a little fun/adventure for me. Our public land hunt system is screwy and that helped me form my opinions so probably 99% of what I wrote won't apply to hardly anybody

You should listen to the last THP pod cast. They cover the old bump and dump. If your doing a lot of walking and bumping deer?, may give you a few ideas on how to capitalize on bumping one.

I have that happen pretty regular. It's only come together with a kill once, but I have got real close lots of times

And to think I'm pissed that the highs for opening weekend will be in the low 70's.

Edit:
I just noticed your lows for the next week are the exact same temp
