2023 Fishing Thread

Nice.... If u had been

If only u had been wearing scentloc camo u would have hooked the 2nd, larger, fish that was cruising with the pig u got in ur grip.....hahaha

Nice fish.

So I caught the Toady Bass and not the actual big one? Damn...

Put away the fishing rod, strap your saddle onto a tree near the water, shoot them in the face when they swim by. Take pictures or it didn’t happen!

I've done it, just not from a tree/saddle.

I can see it now, the 2023 Saddle Bowfishing Competition. You have to shoot carp from a sailboat while tethered to the main mast.

Ive got a couple spots I hunt right on the water and I've seen school of redfish destroying bait pretty much right underneath me while I was hanging in my saddle. If I would have had a pole and a DOA shrimp I guarantee I could have hooked 1.

I know a guy that puts out a catfish rig when he duck hunts big water. He swears he’s caught sever catfish that way.

Somewhat fishing related, I picked up this 55 gallon aquarium and various accessories for free last night! I've wanted to try stocking a native fish tank for years, so hopefully later this summer after giving it a thorough cleaning I'll be able to check back in and give an update on how it's going, planning to do some microfishing/collecting some plants and such from the local ponds and streams to fill it.
