So...who ties flies?
Woke up Saturday to find my boat MIA. Within minutes I get this pic on my phone….
They like the ipilot more than they like me, lol
Phewf, ok I was worried a boyfriend had stolen your boat. Was about to round up a posse and head up there to support youMy son, lol
I tow the SS Flat-Bottomed Girl with the scooby-ru all the time. Gotta keep folks on their tows.
I’ve got the toxic manly boat hooked up to the gender/animal friendly Subaru. Got my livescope ready to do some fish hunting. I realized there are a number of different groups that will probably be offended by this rig.

Yessir we do. I’ve been waiting for another fishing video to drop, you OK?I tow the SS Flat-Bottomed Girl with the scooby-ru all the time. Gotta keep folks on their tows.
I've always liked the look of those "boats". (I'm pretty well into a canoe for hunting and kayak for fishing though!) Out of curiosity, how long does that take to inflate, how much does it weigh, and what is a realistic size when it is deflated and packed up?Took the "boat" out for its maiden voyage yesterday morning with my dad. We caught a dozen or so bass on it in about 2 hours to break her in.
It comes with a manual pump that you step on and pull up and push down pump. It has 3 different sections to inflate. Using that it probably takes 7 or 8 minutes. Section 1 takes the majority of the time because it has a smaller intake that's harder to keep the pump in. The instructions state not to use an air compressor. I haven't so far but I imagine you could be done in a minute with one those. I've got a tiny little electric air pump that if I had an electric source I could probably be done in 1-2 minutes. It weighs around 30 pounds. I cleaned it off and let it dry out so I haven't tried to fold it back up yet but I'd imagine I can get it down to around 2' x 1' x 1'I've always liked the look of those "boats". My wife and kids have two cats. I distinctly remember saying “those things aren’t staying here.” I suppose the cats, and my family, didn’t really care what I say.I cant believe you have a cat...... j.k.
Taking the boat today to get the merc serviced before the spring crowd backs up my mechanic. Probably riding up the road tomorrow to take my wife to a stocked lake to grill and catch a few sunfish. Really looking forward to this year. The 1436 is SOOOOO close to being just right for my wife and I to fish out of, and she likes to go as much or more as I do.
I don't have fish pics yet, but I gots me a question...
I'm trying to buy more "lifetime" reels after getting 3 swedish-made ambassadeurs. I'm currently looking at the zebco 33 models since they're sized about right for the bobber fishing my wife and I do so much of. Does anybody know much about the old US-made models? I see a lot of them on ebay for reasonable prices. Can you still get parts and will the build quality be significantly better than the new ones? Anything to look for/avoid? Or would zebco aficionados recommend the newer "premium" models they make like the omega and bullet?
Bonus points for cool pics of old reels, with or without fish in the frame.
