2023 Florida Saddlehunter meet up…..

For the people camping at the primitive site....if I remember right there is an outhouse for pooping and a water pump with non potable water but it lost prime or broke. Maybe it's been repaired but probably not....the store isn't too far but just keep that in mind when packing up.

There is a covered pavilion that we spent way too much time under last year....fingers crossed for fair weather.... So there is shelter

Like I mentioned earlier I'll have a sled of wood and we pretty much used up the amount last year... @JAYBO u bringing some? Between the 2 of us that should be plenty enough but if u local and if u got a little extra room and wanted to bring a small amount of wood to burn that would be cool. I usually donate to the campsite but if there's any leftover peeps are free to take it if they want....turkey oak (locals call it blackjack incorrectly) is real nice wood for smoking meat. Turkey oak beer butt chickens are on time

I’m bringing some wood too.

Can we pull our vehicles up to hammock site or bring a wagon. Thanks in advance

I think technically u not supposed to drive into the camp but the gate was unlocked last time and I parked arms length from the hammock tree I picked...lots of leaners and watch for carpenter ants

The gate is less than 50yds from about the furthest point away in the designated camp area if it is locked and u gotta carry stuff. Game carts and sleds will be available if u gotta move a bunch of stuff

You can drive up to your camp spot to unload however with the number of campers we will have, you’ll have to park in the field after unloading

My son an I are excited to come down. I couldn’t commit until I knew I had it off. Should I still sign up an pay? I know I won’t get a shirt. But to pay for lunch a such? To give an accurate number to the BBQ guy?
