It appears the plan is to use 2 Molle Talons to attach the sticks horizontal to the bottom of the pouch.

How practical is it to walk a respectable distance with that kind of weight or more hanging off the saddle? I ask bc I’ve read several “ditching the pack” posts citing the lockdown as a viable substitute.

With the suspenders. It’s a viable solution. Without the suspenders? Not a chance.

I personally would not. I would rig the sticks to the yoke vertical on my back.

Can anyone confirm if the pouch can hold 40' of Canyon Elite? and if so, are the rest of the pockets in the pouch still accessible with the rope in there?

It holds 40’ of rope well. You can still reach the pockets on the inside with no problem.

uhhh so tempted right now. can anyone comment if it appears you could cut off the pouches without interfering with the saddle itself? Also, is there molle under where the pouches are if you would cut the pouch off?

There is molle row under the pouch. I didn’t see any reason why you couldn’t cut it off. It’s pretty much a phantom with a pleat.

What exactly is the temptation? to have the saddle with no pouches or pouches with no saddle?

neither. it's the option of changing the pouch to some other pouch or roll up if I don't like their new pouch and/or only need one. right now I use a dump pouch on one side and a roll up on the other

Gotcha. I’m curious how easy it would be to remove pouches and add straps or triglides to reattach to other molle compatible systems. Not $400+ curious, but I’ll cheer on any willing test subjects.

It was definitely a weird decision for them to not make the pouches removable. As if they didn't know how picky and fidgety us saddle hunters are. It would be like Starbucks saying you can only order a black coffee and only in one size, or a bow manufacturer limiting their new release to only being used with one specific arrow and broadhead. I just can't wrap my head around it, especially since they themselves are saddle hunters

Guess it never came up in the two year testing period. :/

Gotcha thx. Have they improved the material used in the 3D printing since a year ago or so? I’ve had a few of the 3D printed gAmeChaNgers break on me in the field. I don’t trust the stuff.
We are constantly working on our designs, materials, printers. I would say yes, but shoot me a PM as I want to understand the issues you saw!
