I actually think ankle and foot fatigue is a legit issue, particularly when leaning with feet on a flat surface. Like sitting too long on a stand, you just have to change it up now and then. Switching to sitting is generally enough.
But I do lean with my feet on the crossbrace of my climbing platform very often. And I’ll elevate the front of my feet on the tree bracket of my OOAL Ridge Runner XL when leaning as well. Those make good use of existing features and benefit me as a user in the manner of reducing ankle stress.
So, maybe the Panther Climber add is a little sensationalist, but I‘m not against spotlighting those features in this platform. Like when he has his heels in the gaping hole in the middle of the platform while leaning. I had no idea why they put a privy like hole in a hunting platform, lol.
I’m frankly more concerned about platform fatigue with that large void in the metal lattice than I am about sensationalist advertising on foot fatigue.
They truthfully aren’t far from a decent product, but it’s got some all-stop issues for me.
Watch the passing a limb video. Gives an impression on how their band performs during the climb, mostly negative. The increased rigidity over LW belts has an upside, but dang is their band loud and snaggy (not to mention who knows how it’ll stand up to field use).
