2024 Gear thread

Latitude hit this one out of the park IMO. Never had the desire to hang my $1K+ bow from a 3D printed hanger in 20 deg weather. The little stand off they incorporated also solves what I always perceived would be a rotation problem with those I had seen, when hanging/removing a bow.

Top quality top to bottom. 9mm thick material, tumbled and anodized. SS hardware, Nyloc nuts . XHD waterproof shrink tubing that I doubt ever wears out. Brilliant little bungee to hold your strap in place when hanging it. The nice little hook at the bottom for quiver, I'm planning a method of hanging both pack and quiver from. 3.8 oz. as packaged and well worth it.

I'd throw a hat in the ring for it as one of the best new products of 24'. Very pleased with this purchase. Was going to make my own copy but the brief moment I pondered it, I said "why?" and ordered one.

I got my bite in. Definitely a quality piece… but some oversight that could improve it drastically. That nut protrudes to much so the hanger kinda sits on that against the tree and will rock back and forth. They should have recessed the slot on the other side deeper to capture the nut and flip that screw around. Would have worked much better…

I see what you mean. Smaller diam or smooth bark trees likely an issue. Come to think of it I did find a sweet spot in a groove of the bark of the one tree I tried mine on.

Not at home to look at it, and it wouldn't look as pretty but a variation of what you said, thinking of running the LPSHCS in from the back with nut on the front to resolve it. May need to take a little width off two sides of the nut to fit the opening.
Or keep same screw direction replace the existing nut with low profile one and trim the length of the screw.

Obviously, none of this you shud have to do to make it functional but I'm not discouraged by what I received. It's more than I could produce with $30 worth of my time.

New latitude saddles, platform, and packs found in the Lancaster catalog that came today.

The price for the packs looks great..

I’m confused how they’re going to get away with calling a saddle “Lonestar”. Same name as the TX5 saddle.

I believe there has been some chatter that they are no affiliated some how. There is a thread going about it somewhere on this site.

Found it.

Kryptek is up there for some of the worst camo I’ve ever seen. I’m surprised Ape Canyon uses it so much. Do any of y’all like it?
Kryptek has also never done much for me either. Interesting design but not for a camo pattern IMO. I’m also one of those weird ones that has to like the looks of the camo pattern if I’m going to buy anything with it on the product, whether it works well for actual camo-ing you or not.

What was your opinion on them other than that

Seem fine otherwise. Came in nice plastic cases, lol.

I really can’t say much. I haven’t used them. The pre-order was supposed to deliver in September 2022…..arrived 12/15/22. So I had to scramble for the season. Got SEVR 1.5s, had success, and haven’t had an urge to swap.

My impressions I guess are they aren’t razor sharp as they come, but neither were the German Kinetics Silverflames that everyone was saying were the sharpest to your door broadhead back when. The geometry of the MD3s makes them easy to sharpen on stones, so that’s not a major complaint.

There was some minor variation in grains per head, but probably within normal parameters. Can’t remember how much offhand.

They are S7 steel in a 3blade at a fair pricepoint. But I am disappointed they weren’t 1&1/4“ cut as advertised.

Did you get your silver flames before or after Markus sold out? The heads I got from him were BY FAR the sharpest heads I have ever purchased.
