I had a carbon splinter in my finger once from a broken tennis racket.

It was extremely painful. It felt like stingy nettle but way worse. Maybe due to the small carbon hairs?

Anyways, can't imagine a catastrophic carbon platform failure and a piece the size of a ruler going into your leg.
I too still have carbon fibers in my arm from an exploded arrow a decade or two ago. The process of removing what they could was unpleasant enough that I'll take a pass too.

Not to derail, did you have any issues with cables going through your sight/peep picture?

I couldn’t get past that on my elevate and got rid of it. Outside of that I loved it. The cables were running just on the inside of my pins and it was driving me crazy

I haven’t noticed that. My cable guard is maxed all the way out tho on the slider adjustment

Just saw this modification to the Mach 30 for anyone who is interested. It's the new Mach 30 with different cams for more speed. Plus some cool marketing hype complete with bad ass music and John Dudley and a whole bunch of neon green.

I am very interested in the carbon platform but will have to wait. Maybe for next September.
I’m not a PSE guy but that looks like a good option for guys to try out.

Athens Axxis  :hearteyes::hearteyes: only made it half way in Avg Jacks' video but OMG tell me Ican still have spring fever. :fearscream:

Edit: it appears spring fever is gone. I'm unreasonably upset about that but I don't need another bow anyway. Party poopers.

is this like the deadlock?

Yep. It moves the cam on the axle. Looks slick.

good...they probably licensed it from Bowtech and changed the outer appearance

there's no shame in doing that when a company does in fact hit it out of the park

i'll add athens to the list of bows I'd consider because now they all have to have a feature like this (so far Athens, Bowtech, Elite, and PSE all have a way to easily move the cam without messing with shims....I have a press and use it, but shims and e clips are just awful)

Agreed that Athens Axxis is pretty slick. Athens is probably the only manufacturer out there that could pull me away from Elite. Only downside is absolutely nobody near me carries Athens. I can work on my own bows so that's not an issue, but when it comes to buying one, I want to shoot it first.

I was really hoping Elite would integrate dovetail and pic rail mounts this year. A small feature not truly necessary, but the rest I want to use mounts with the dovetail. They have an adapter but not sure how that works.

I emailed Athens about no spring fever, they're so darn nice it's hard not to want to buy from them. It's gone but Jim said they have a custom shop that might be a possible solution. Tracie also emailed back and gave me contact info for a dealer with a Vista 31 with spring fever. Which is a nice bow, I set one up for a buddy I might try to buy back lol. I mean when the owners are the ones that answer random emails, that's awesome. I had a tuning issue with the V31 and Tracie hooked me up with an engineer. Good people!
