6mm Split tail

I guess I question their claims from experience with other cords, and reading many claims that a two eyed hitch needs to be smaller than the host rope, especially if it’s technora on technora.
I just tried it using the TRC on itself and it just slid, added a wrap and it still slid. It will grab it the hitch is
reset each time it’s advanced, but I don’t consider that as acceptable for life support.
Some smaller diameter cord splices

And using just a cord, no preformed eyes, with stopper knot, which can be in front or back

I mean they are a climbing/arborist rope manufacturer, I hardly think they would put out false or erroneous information.

I as well as multiple other members have been using that cord for a while now without any issues. I have a valdotain tresse tied with it on my tether.

Edited to add that it did take a little while for the prusik cord to break in. Until then, it did require some minor dressing of the knot.

Good to know that it works, must need the coating to wear off some, thanks.

I received my 7mm VT mentioned above... I ordered from amazon. I tied a quick schwabish on oplux and it appeared to hold well. I did not have much time, I will follow up. Thanks for the suggestion @Buckshot1822 definitely promising.
Pros:
Holds well (so far, I will test many more times), plenty of strength and no carabiner termination knots necessary. Seems to tend okay. Great quality
Cons:
Cost approx $30 per hitch cord, not terrible when you factor in the sewn splices.
The length of the cord is longer than is ideal for me. In order to keep my legs short enough I had a 5 over 2. This may effect how this hitch tends after loading with full body weight. Total length is 32in, I'm thinking I want 24in or 26in. I will need to learn to trust it as I know in my head the hitch cords should typically be 70-80% in relation to the main line.
So its kind of what I've been looking for. I'm glad you pushed your suggestion.
Like anything else test throughly at ground level.

I agree it is a little longer than ideal. There was some discussion amongst members here about having a custom batch of them made by blue water, im not sure where that stands as of now.

I dealt with the length issue by using a valdotain tresse instead of a distel hitch, it seemed to grab a little better also. It tends very well with the novelty kong figure 8 keychain, and a small paracord loop.

I will be sure to try that when I get time to do so. I remember seeing the group buy thread and will try to add my name into the interested persons.

Most sewn hitch cords (loop or eyes) are too long for our uses anyways. The exception I know of is the hitch made for Predator rope by Wesspur (aerohunter used to sell it also). But that is way thick for Oplux. Besides, despite knowing that sewn/spliced is stronger....knots are strong enough and I like seeing that knot (it is more reassuring to trust my own knot than some stranger's sewing job).

When I tie my Michoacán for 9mm HTP, it comes out to 23.5” so the 24 or 26 would be perfect for that.
