That is a sweet looking saddle. Anyone know what loop in loop design means.

I have a Cruzr XC, but man the itch is stron with this one.

Can be another lineman’s belt tie in point. Can move leg straps to/from it.

Resistance is futile!

Just ordered the Merlin annnnndddd the new flex... now I have at least a month to come up with an excuse when they arrive

Glad I got mine for $239 this morning. They are $259 now. Not much but anything helps

I want to order one. Aerohunter makes great saddles and they have good service.

But I like the three I have and I am going to wait. Someone do a comparison between the a Cruzr XC and Merlin.
I expect the Merlin to be better built and heavier than the Cruzr XC. But there is nothing wrong with the Cruzr XC it is well built just not aero quality.

I really am interested in any comfort differences because the Cruzr XC is excellent.

Now gotta figure out if this or the Phantom stays. Hopefully it is as comfortable, or at least close to as comfortable, as their old evolution. That thing was a LAzy Boy in the tree.

My guess it will be more comfortable than both those saddles

A few quick observations... No one is calling out the features taken from the Phantom on this one? It looks like the Phantom and Latitude hooked up after a late night a the bar!

Second, I question the comfort using the 1" webbing, especially the lower two straps. Maybe it will work, but will have to see once it gets in the wild.

Everyone copies the industry standard lol goes with trucks, bows, guns, boots, etc... They put their own twists on them and know that guys like us will buy them. Then we argue over the little differences that we think makes each superior to the other

I already ordered my Merlin, however is does look like some changes have been made in the construction. First the use of 1" webbing on the load bearing straps that end up forming the bridge loops as mentioned in a previous post, will this distribute weight as evenly as wider webbing ? Also on most saddles it seems the bridge loop is formed by webbing coming from the extreme top and bottom of the saddle, the top bridge loop for the Merlin is positioned lower on the saddle also forming the molle loops. The linesman loops are located at the top of the saddle.

FYI: Found out via email that the dimensions are the same as the original Flex. When expanded, a size 1 is 16" top to bottom and a size 2 is 18.5". I just measured my size 2 Cruzr XC and it is 20". I think the Cruzr size 2 is smaller as far as waist than is the Aero size 2.

So the Merlin is a mesh flex with an extra set of LB loops? Interesting.

I don’t think there are extra lineman’s loops. Just two different places to attach the leg straps

I bet people that like to run 2 bridges and 2 tethers (ultimate redundancy) could use those internal loops for a secondary bridge, and it would be fully independent since it has it's own support structure around the saddle. Something like that might sway someone that is nervous in the tree to get the Merlin.
