For anyone who has made either cable aiders or added a cable loop to the top of your stick (what im doing), do you have any feedback or suggestions as far as the gauge of wire, type of wire (twisted vs braid), or coating material used. Im thinking the rigidity is something one could tinker with to suit personal preference. Thanks in advance

Most are using it to grab the stick from above when using the one stick method and im thinking it would be perfect for hanging the stick from my saddle while climbing as well. Do away with the amsteel continuous loop on the sticks I put that on.
 
Ok well I just found a thread that I saw several days ago on this same subject. Natually after hours of searching and a new thread, I find it. Although, I didn't see anything relating to a particular gauge of wire so if anyone has any comment relating to that....

Can you put a link for the thread you found about the cable aiders? I want to add them to my sticks and trying to decide if I should buy them made or make them myself.

Will do. Im at work right this sec so give me about 30. To my knowledge, no one is currently selling the smaller cables to go on top of the stick but its exactly the same as what lone wolf is selling as 'cable aiders', just smaller. Im looking for a specific picture I saw that shows it well. Ill report back when I find it.

How hard would it be to make a DIY aider similar to the ones on the Lone Wolf Custom Gear mini sticks? What are your thoughts on the pros/cons?

Post ideas on aiders here. Anyone tested Amsteel directly tied in the aider hole? Is there any wear on the Amsteel? Amsteel is about the only thing I can think of currently to attach and still be able to stack them.
