Alternative to Thermacell?

Peeps back then used tactics some of which I'm not willing to use unless 100% unavoidable apocalypse time .....simple mud layers, sweet grass/dogfennel/etc rubbed on skin and worn on clothes, diy pine pitch repellent, gar fish oil/slime, and smoke like "cover scent peeps do now", plus u build a tolerance just like anything else....there's a will there's a way.
The pine and pitch tar keeps bugs away but who wants to have that crap all over them lol

They also died. :)

I really wouldn't have suspected this thread going 4 pages. What are we still talking about?
You obviously have never been to Maine and met our mosquito and black fly population:grin:
Is that kinda like a yellow fly?

Here in south Louisiana I don’t think theres a product on this planet that works for mosquitos as well as the therma cell, and even that isn’t full proof.
Scouting in the swamps... Ya better have permethrin and Tell with face net... Skeeters don't give a phuck when they are ready to feed. Ears, nose and through your hat. Not even joking...
