Horn Hunter Full Curl Combo...

Probably clocking in around 2400 CU with the removeable daypack and sidepockets. Has a rifle holster that could probably used for a bow holster on the daypack, but i've never tried it. Can purchase a rain fly. Checks almost all of the buckets on your list. It's honestly the best pack i've found for gear hauling so far.

I use a Blacks Creek Cure. It's not cheap...I bought it originally for carrying elk hunting when I didn't need a full size pack. Not even sure if they're still made.

It's a fanny style with an integrated meat sling, soft "frame", bow holder, load lifters, super nice straps/waist belt, etc. I use mini sticks and strap them horizontal across the top of the pack.

Found my pack guys I think this will do. Gonna be hands free walking in and no more reeling up my bow, bow will be on my pack while I climb. My minis LW and micro LW Jumpingvamire special is gonna be super compact and light once I put those on.

Have you carried the pack like this at all with the sticks on one side? Curious if it feels balanced. If you could flip your riser around to opposite side of bag it might help. Won’t make a difference on a 300 yard walk. But after a while, that will wear on ya

Stone glacier solo. I absolutely love mine on the x curve frame.

I have carried them around the house. Its actually really light and do notice the off balance a bit but the waist and chest strap decreases the unbalance feel a bit so that's a plus. I have full length and mini's, depending on what days I plan on doing if I run and gun I'll bring the mini's. Even with the full length sticks its not that heavy at all. But that's just with the bow and sticks.

About the Trailblazer and jacket to pack with Wild Edge I think it will be to over pack to a point where you will have to force close the pack just to zip it up.

For the guys that want a hands free walk in and bow on the back while you climb. Check out the Horn Hunter G2 day pack that's what I have. If you want something a little bit more expensive check out the Badlands Dash pack at Cabelas right now they have a sale going on.

i guess it would depend on the bulk of that jacket, but being a late season jacket, i'd assume it's somewhat bulky. you would be close. the main compartment is fairly roomy, but i think you could jam both of those in there. side note though, the only other pocket is the small one at the top of the bag, so once you max out the main compartment with your coat and steps, you won't have much room left. that all being said, i do still enjoy my trailblazer pack.

Thanks for the intel!

I’m using the alps pursuit and I love it. The bow holder works great. Also I love the fold down pocket that has been reinforced with stiffener to act as a shelf. The shelf really works and can hold heavy gear and the other pockets are exposed to store more gear. You can pack a heavy load and with the waist belt and chest strap it’s comfortable. .

This is my first year saddle hunting but I’ve done dry runs and I am psyched that I can easily fit my predator and climbing method INSIDE the pack and still hook up my bow. Now for my climbing method I’ve got spurs which fit no problem, and I’ve got modified new helium’s cut down to 20 inches with a CAYG. The sticks fit not prob with the predator except they stick out the top, just the footrests. But I’m happy with that bc it’s not enough to get snagged on anything.

I think the pack overall might be a bit bulky or overkill for early season but it’s perfect for late season bc I have room in the pack for extra gear and clothing and I also have the lash straps on the outside for clothing as well.

Overall I think it’s a great all around pack. I don’t recommend lashing your bow to it on the walk in. It does get snagged and I have lost arrows. But I also prefer to carry in case I walk up on something.

But to have everything stowed in my pack and have my bow in my hand and not a heavy load all in one pack? I’m happy!

Another to consider that I just found is the Kings Mountain Top 2200. I have not tried it. Im between this and Alps Hybrid X still. I would pull the trigger on the Horn Hunter Full Curl but I dont think it has a meat hauler.

The horn hunter has a built in meat shelf.

Here’s some pics of my setup with a fairly accurate late season pack in:

Looks cool but also Looks like a bear to unpack at tree. Have you used it for a season?

I use a 5.11 Rush 12. I sewed some buckles to the Molle webbing on the back side so I can strap my bow or sticks to the back. I haven't carried a pull up rope in 2 years.
