Anyone else mainly just use two sticks??

Yea it’s rough! I definitely can see the benefits of two sticks for mobility. How fast and easy it would be to setup and maybe move to another location if you see the need. I just don’t see how guys are getting 15’ with two sticks. I need to do some backyard playing I guess.
I also wish I could get over it on the ground too. I just don’t have any confidence I feel like I’m gonna get busted for sure. Then once my confidence is gone I have a hard time staying there.

If the aider on your first stick is long I have placed that stick at 9 feet using the other stick. It’s doable

^^^ I'm only 5'7"... hahaha

I really doubt I could get 15' with four sticks without a looong aider.
What sticks do you have? I'm using 3 full length Hawks, each with a single step aider and I'm pretty consistently getting to 15-16'. I've increased my spacing between sticks a good bit this season. Before I was getting to 13-13.5' with the same setup. I'm only 5'5". You should be able to hit 15', especially if you had an aider.

I have this paranoia too.

...Despite tons of close up and personal ground experience where deer have no clue I'm there.

Just feel like if I'm going to climb a tree, I should be maximizing the advantages of doing so.

Probably need to change my thinking, but it's hard.

Especially, when time afield is limited and getting winded once could be all she wrote for my season.

i'm the same....afraid of the only tree that is in the right area being limbless and by itself...so i feel i need to be at least 20 feet up to not be picked off immediately

as I said before any tree ,branches, ruff bark,2 trunks, crooked trunks..no stick just straps.and this isnt the smallest or lightest system.its just what i use.alot of dudes could show better.

With 2 sticks and a platform I’m close to 17’. Which is more than I really need. I’ve used 3 sticks for 3 trees this year. The rest has been 2 stick trees.

I’m starting to think I may just drop down to packing 2 sticks and a CAYG aider. I could always one stick the remaining height if needed which would be rare.

I love srt but when I can't I have 2, 18" sticks that never fail to get me up where I need to to be!! 2 sticks with aiders get me to 12.5 to 13 ft and then one stick "if" I need to go higher. I have found with my feet at 12 to13 ft is a real sweet spot here in FL for bow hunting. You can see under the canopy but not high enough to skyline.
